Coming from the Great White North in August, what are we thinking? We're back!

Ah yes, to stir the pot is such fun isn't.....I may have some experience to that as well, hard as that may be for you to believe

I went over to Peg's yesterday to start this planning thing again.....looks like we at least figured out where we're going everyday for dinner, now I just have to look at the 9 days that Jasmine and I are there on our own!

Peg decided they were going to fly down 2 days before DD and I....she says it has nothing to do with the plane ride last year, but somehow I don't believe her

Did you say you had started a new pre-trippie, I'm on the lookout for it!!!!!

ok all, sorry for the delay. I was on the planning committee for a national emergency nursing conference a week ago and it was all consumingI had no idea how much time it would take. I had visions of having my evenings to myself in my king sized bed all to myself and Dis-ing to my hearts content. I even thought I would be bored during the day so I may be able to Dis during the day too Well guess what...it didn't happenI was up at 4:45 everyday for the week and worked until 10 pm every nightI was exhausted and it took me all of last week to recover. Now I have a garage sale coming up I'm not ready for but what the heck, my public awaits

I was so tired this morning. I got up at 6:20 and had mixed feelings about today. I love Disney but between the rain and the wind and the long days, I was ready to sleep in and have a day to do nothing! It always seemed like I was doing something. If I wasn’t unpacking, I was packing, or packing a bag for the park, or packing to go home, or doing laundry.....you get the drift.
Anyway, enough complaining let’s get on with our last day.

Not is not the time to be taking pictures because of the humididty.

We were at MK by 9 am. It was pouring rain again and windy! The train arrived but today there were no characters or dancers. Despite the weather there were lots of people today. I guess people that were there thought if they waited for the rain to stop they would never see Disney! We picked up a stroller and headed to Snow White’s Scary Adventure. Now dd8 hates this ride, it’s too scary and she didn’t want to go on it. She has actually never gone on the ride but in the kid’s Birnbaum guide there is a picture of the old hag and she had my mom put a piece of paper over it with a note saying not to remove the paper because there was a scary picture under it! She survived with her eyes closed the whole time. Then we all enjoyed the carousel. We saw the dream team but they didn’t have their vests on. They were by Mickey’s Philharmagic. So we thought we’d better hit Philharmagic. No dream team. Then we headed over to Stitches Great Escape. The girls were a bit nervous about it but did fine. Then we headed to Toon Town and did the Barnstormer. Then we headed to meet the princesses. We were standing in line and then they showed us in and we saw who were there....Aurora, Cinderella, And Belle..........

Belle in her yellow dress is Queen's all time favorite princess! She kicked the kids to the curb for this one!

I guess since Jasmine is her daughter she let her be in the picture!

.....and the Dream Team!!!!!! I was more excited about them being there than seeing the princesses. We got dream ears! I really don’t remember much about the princesses I was just so excited about the dream team after 2 weeks of being there we finally won a dream!

So after the princesses we saw Mickey and Minnie and had our pics done with our new ears on. Notice we are all in our matching shirts, our last day and we are pretty much wearing our ponchos because of rain!

Then it was time for the train to do Splash Mtn. Queen and I argued but I don’t remember about what. I just remember being ticked! It couldn’t have been too bad because I don’t remember it. After Splash tried BTM, long line and no wait posted. I believe I had promised the girls a Mickey Bar so we headed to get one of those and then it was time for lunch. We had lunch at Columbia Harbour House. It was very good. We thought it was lined up out the door but it was actually a line up waiting for it to open! It wasn’t very busy when it first opened but by the time we left there were long lines. On our way out we picked up our photopass and we got to choose 3 5x7’s. One photo mini Montana was supposed to have Tinkerbell in her hand and they forgot to put it in so that took longer.

We headed back to the hotel and the girls really wanted to swim in the calypso pool. We had promised them for 2 weeks we would get there but it was raining so much. Well today was our last day so even though it was raining we went to the calypso pool. Man we should get parents of the year for doing that! We were frozen! The kids didn’t care. We only stayed about 20 min. It was long enough, but mini Montana didn’t think so and cried. Jasmine and Queen obviously didn’t come with us. We showered everyone to warm up and we all slept for an hour. I desperately needed that. I tidied up the last of the packing and then we were heading out to 1900 Park Fare tonight.

First of all it was the only finger not covered in butter because if I'm going to have cyber popcorn it's going to be smoothered in butter. Not buttery topping but honest to goodness real butter.

Second of all, you better watch out because I might just be tempted to aim another finger at you. You can guess which one it would be wouldn't you?

Yesterday I had my first garage sale and it was SNOWING for the first several hours and then just changed to sleet-y stuff. Every year the weather is terrible this weekend. Today is sunnywhere was that yesterdayI had to have a super hot bath when I came in because I couldn't stop shivering.

I'm warm now and just got off the phone making this year's ADR's. I was on hold for an hourand then I didn't get the best CM but I wasn't about to hang up and try again! We got what we wanted mostly the times we wanted but at separate tables so hopefully when we show up for our ressie's the tables will be together

I guess I should finish this report but I'm hosting Mother's Day brunch and need to get the show on the road

I was really looking forward to this meal. We had all been here before for the buffet and it was fabulous! Queen’s favourite was the strawberry soup; mine was the spring rolls with the spicy dipping sauce. Everything else was really great too so we were very excited to be there. This was the first time we will see Lady Tremaine and the ugly stepsisters. We were really looking forward to that. Of course we were all very sad that tonight was our last night but frankly the tiredness and constant rain was starting to bring us down. Our reservation was for 7:05 pm. We took the bus to MK and hopped the monorail and enjoyed the trip around the lagoon. I would love to stay in each and every resort on that monorail line one day. So as I was dreaming away we arrived at the GF.
Returning from MK earlier, I think I may have posted these already! Oh well enjoy them again.

We were early because we always allow plenty of travel time. We took pictures around the lobby and on the stairs with the kids.

We went and checked in and were seated after a bit. It was very busy.

We were seated in a long room off the main dining area and the place was packed. DH and everyone went to get their food and I stayed back so I would be there when Mini Montana returned with her selections. She was happily munching on mac and cheese or chicken nuggets when Prince Charming comes by! She was somewhat shy but did stand up for a picture with him. He was very soft spoken and so sweet to her. Everyone else arrived back and I told them they missed Prince Charming but I hoped he would be back.

I went up to the buffet to get my choices and apparently didn’t write it down but I don’t think they had the spring rolls. Once I started to eat things weren’t as hot as they had been previously. I was very disappointed. This was the buffet we really looked forward to because of how great the food was. This time it was only ok, not fabulous. I would return because of the entertainment but not for the food. I really hope that it changes because it has been stellar in the past, perhaps just an off night. As we were eating we could see Anastasia (in pink) and Drizella (in green) talking with the different tables. They loved the little boys, talking to them about appreciating a beautiful woman and being their handsome prince. It was really cute to see because the little boys were only about two or three and they fussed over them alot. Every now and then, of course, the sisters would start sniping at each other and scream at the top of their lungs MOTHER! And then tell on each other. At one point Lady Tremaine brought them into the main dining area and made them stand on chairs and sing “Sing Sweet Nightingale”. I never laughed so hard! They were so off key and it was just like the movie. We had to go to main part to watch and listen and get dessert.

Poor mini Montana kept saying she was afraid of Lady Tremain to her Aunty and Queen kept saying “well she’s not as mean as me!” Once Anastasia came over and dd8 was wearing matching Mickey earrings and necklace that matches the Mickey barrette you get at BBB, she looked down at her and asked why she was wearing a rat?! We laughed so hard! When Drizella came over they got up for a picture with her and she commented on their shoes. They were wearing their crocs so she said “what kind of shoes are you wearing? Are you going out to feed the chickens like Cinder-smella?” The kids laughed and so did we. These girls are quick on their feet with their comments and I can’t remember half of what they said but boy did we laugh even when they weren’t at our table because they are so loud (I love that about them).

Lady Tremaine came over and poor Mini Montana was terrified and snuggled right into her Auntie. It was so precious to see. Queen kept telling her she could take lady Tremaine if she had to because Queen was meaner and scarier. I of course agreed wholeheartedly with her! As Lady Tremaine was near our table there was a baby crying and she made some comment about lack of parenting to the couple! She was very quick on her feet too. When she did get to our table I think she realized how scared Mini Montana was so she didn’t go over the top with her. She made a comment to dd8 about why she was wearing a rodent for jewellery, and then she said “well are you getting up for a picture?” So funny!

She never smiled.

Cinderella stopped by so soft spoken and sweet and princess like. The stepsisters really did a great job of being polar opposites of that.

I can hardly believe I'm almost done too. I really need to get reading your birthday tr. The entertainment value was great. Sometimes you have to go to places purely because of entertainment as opposed to food (did I really say that?) you may actually make money, you never know, take a chance

We were done dinner by 8:45 and our original plan was to do Wishes one last time before we left. Well it was windy and raining, pouring actually and we were done with that by this point so we made the sad decision to just go back to the hotel and finish up packing and get to bed. We waved goodbye to Magic Kingdom as we walked pass from the monorail to the busses. The kids weren’t as upset as I thought they’d be. I think they were tired and happy to go home. They actually told us they were happy to go home.
I put out the clothes for the morning and packed everything else we didn’t need and headed to bed. I was starting to get a sore throat and my legs and feet were so sore I was very happy to crawl into bed.
Tomorrow we would be heading home which meant flying with Queen again and I need a good sleep to be able to deal with that...oops, I mean her!
