Today I was up at 6 am again and we were at breakfast at Intermissions by 7:20. I must have been feeling better because I don’t have anything written down. Now this day Queen was sitting beside Mini Montana and she was having strawberry pancakes and she spilled strawberries on her. Queen was being a good Auntie and wiping it off dd4’s nice clean outfit. The first wipe up went well....then she noticed she missed some so as she reached for another wipe....boom went her coffee all over Queen’s nice WHITE t-shirt (that was clean). Uh oh! Now we were just finishing breakfast up and were just about to leave for the bus. Queen handled it very well but you could tell she wasn’t happy. Saying she wasn’t sitting beside dd4 again may have been my first clue! Queen told us to go ahead and she and Jasmine would go back to the room and change and meet up with us at HS. We were going to be separating today anyway because the girls wanted to do Playhouse Disney and Dh wanted to do Indy and Star Tours. Jasmine’s not too much into those rides; she’s a To T and RnR girl. We all felt really bad about the spill and then we headed to the BR. Dh told me he was waiting for us and saw Jasmine go to the front desk. Apparently Queen forgot her backpack on the back of her chair and in the time she realized it (when she went to get her room key out, and we were miles from the front (Broadway bldg)) someone had picked it up and taken it! She was beside herself; all she kept thinking about was her camera and the pictures she lost. Well it turned out someone saw us leave and handed it in at the front. So you can imagine how happy she was at this point, coffee spill, long walk to room, lose bag, long walk back, now another long walk back to room to change. To be honest I felt awful but was kinda glad I didn’t have to be around her this morning because I was pretty sure she was in a bad mood and I didn’t want to be on the receiving end of it.

Did I mention how humid it was? So much so that the kids could draw on the outside of the windows!

We went right to Playhouse Disney but the first show wasn’t until 10 I think. We went to the store close by because I had some gifts to buy for a little boy at home who loves Handy Manny. We killed some time here and sent our purchases back to the hotel. I don’t think I could ever stay off-site because I would miss this service too much.
We headed over to Playhouse Disney at 9:40 and we pulled up a piece of carpet and waited for the show to start. It’s a great show and the kids really loved it. It’s hard to take pictures because the stage is up high and I believe I need a better camera. I love this show but man it’s hard to get down and up off the floor. Not everyone has their kids in their 20’s so we older parents are going to need some cushions and a bar to get up!

Outside Playhouse Disney.

We love this show. We saw it before with Bear in the big Blue house etc. Other than having to sit on the floor it's such a fun show and the kids enjoy seeing their favorite characters come to life.

After PD we hit the Great Movie Ride. I absolutely love this ride. I can’t tell you what it is I like so much but it’s one of my favourites. Of course we covered the eyes of our children for the Alien scenes and they loved everything else about the ride.

Inside the waiting area. This picture does not do this costume justice, even in the movie you cannot appreciate how heavy this must have been and the workmanship with the material and the jewels. It was amazing!

There's no place like home! I'll never forget when Jasmine was little she was terrified of the witch and the first time we rode it with her we were in the front car and it looked like the witch was pointing right at her, ahhh good times.

After TGMR we headed over to see Indy. Now Dh’s sole mission on this trip was to buy an Indy hat that he can geocache in. The girls enjoyed the Indy show more than Lights, Motor, Action. I was surprised but they both said they enjoyed it more. It was a bit of a cooler morning so maybe that had something to with it. We had to do Star Tours after Indy and the line-up wasn’t too bad.

As we are waiting to enter our vehicle who do we see but Jasmine and Queen. Now I’m confused. One because they are smiling and two because Queen hates Star Tours, it makes her nauseous. Well then I see why they are there in our ride vehicle..............................










they have DREAM FAST PASSES around their necks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder they are smiling.

We try and get the story but we have to board so it has to wait until we are done. Now mini Montana has never ridden Star Tours and I apologize to anyone who may have been in our ride vehicle at that time......she screamed WOOHOO at the top of her lungs the WHOLE ride! I guess she thought she was on a roller coaster. She had such a great time but I’m sure everyone else is deaf now. I kept trying to tell her to quieten down but it didn’t work. Apparently Jasmine and Queen laughed the whole ride at her and Queen didn’t get nauseated. After the ride we headed over to the ABC Commissary at 12:15. There were only a few people here at this time I was very surprised. So then we asked for the story of the fast passes. Apparently they were waiting for RnR and they got them. Needless to say Queen’s mood improved greatly when that happened and Jasmine made her go on Star Tours because they had the Fast Passes. Queen said it was meant to be because if she hadn’t spilled her coffee and lost her purse they would not have been at RnR at the right time. So all of you who don’t get to the park at the time you wanted maybe you’ll get a surprise. We all were so excited for them. We wished it had been us but at least they didn’t win the Castle stay and we weren’t with them.

What is everyone doing today, any big plans for the New Year? We were supposed to have everyone over for dinner but with dd8 being ill I don't want anyone else getting ill so I think we will be having a quiet day. take care all and I wish you a year full of health and happiness.

I coach volleyball at Saint Thomas University. It is about a 7 hour bus ride for tournament that we go to every year.

Thank you! Sorry for asking you this....as you may be aware, I am new to dis!!!! However, I am not sure how to pm you. Do I have enough posts to do that? I tried to figure it out by going on my Control panel, etc...no luck unless I am one of those DIS "dummies"! On the other hand, I will look into DVC board as well.

We had a great holiday, messing with the kids heads and all!

Boy do I remember those days of the kids getting up before I was ready! I remember staying up all night on Christmas Eve for several years getting everything wrapped and arranged (so it would look like a room full of presents -- lots of empty hidden space in those arrangements)

Rockband!!! You lucky dogs!!! What a cool present!!!! You be nice to Queen... I'm sure she sounded wonderful! You're so mean to her. I sure wish she'd get back on here so you could get some of your own back. Sigh... I guess if she's not able to I'll just have to take that duty on myself... sigh.... hope I'm up to the monumental task.

12/31/08 - woot! Another installment. No comments on HOW LONG IT TOOK FOR THIS ONE TO COME OUT or anything like that from me.

Now what makes you think it would have been you on the receiving end of Queen's well-deserved and provoked mood? Just because you trained your daughter to spill her breakfast all over your darling sister?

Ok.... there's the story about how much you enjoyed Jasmine's fear when the witch was pointing right at her. Whew!!! Just about made me think you lost your touch or something. Guess you do have to do SOMETHING nice for your children now and again so they don't expect it as much when you're mean to them. Okay, I can understand that.

LOL @ the fastpass story! You're right... everything happens for a reason, even though it's hard to remember that sometimes. If you wanna see some more pictures of the inside of the castle, PM me and I'll give you the link to my website (which has a link to a blog that has lots of pictures from someone that actually stayed there). Can't do the link here becuase it violates the rules of DISBoards and I've already gotten my wrist slapped once (what, me?). But I think they're okay with me sharing a link in a PM. I think.

No big new years plans here either. In fact, I slept most of the day. Didn't eat our collards and black-eyed peas until yesterday so we're definitely going to be poor and unlucky this year. I know where the poor part's gonna come in as EM#1 is gonna get braces this year. But I hope if I eat enough black-eyed peas through the course of the year I can counteract the unlucky. I hope... of course, that's not how it's supposed to work, but then again, I always do things like they're supposed to be done, right?
