Comfy shoes for the parks?

I have just started wearing Skechers Go Walk and Skechers Go Run. I am going to get them for the whole family for our upcoming trip in August (first in 7 years :cool1:).

They are both super comfortable and feel like slippers. Extremely light weight. the Go Run support a midfoot strike. The are made to be like being barefoot, yet have a lot of support. They have lots of fun (and plain) colors.

Both are priced in the $50-60 range so pretty affordable. I got mine at Famous Footwear, but if you have a Skechers store nearby, they have a much bigger selection.

Another vote for the Go Walk. I bought some before our recent trip and I did not wear them before we left. The first time I ever wore them was for our Epcot day and my feet were comfy all day.

You know im not really sure which one i have...i bought them when they first came out...

After reading the positive comments here I went online and ordered a pair of Go Walks. I have wide feet so I hope they fit. They look really cute and I would love to have them for our upcoming Disney trip. :thumbsup2

Fingers are crossed they work out!!

Usually I'll wear my broken in New Balance tennis shoes. This year I brought my (broken in) Teva Mush flip flops, thinking that I could wear them in the morning and the NB's at night - or vice versa. I ended up wearing the Tevas the entire trip! The NB's never even made it out of my bag. I loved it though, because now I know I can do the same thing when we go to California this year and free up some space where the socks and tennis shoes would have been (and that will be valued space with the number of days we'll be gone lol!).

another person who wears New Balance cross trainers or Teva sandels..depends on the weather..
Any comfy, broken in shoe is good..I feel so bad for the women in high heels..in the am, they wear heels but their feet begin to hurt and by -pm they switch shoes to comfy shoes/ or buy Disney shoes...

Hey everyone, I am trying to find nice, comfy shoes for my trip in May/June.

I have super flat, narrow feet and really bad joint problems, so I need a good arch and something comfy. If I don't have good shoes my hips begin to slide out. I don't want anything slowing me down at WDW! But, I am in my mid twenties and I love shoes. I'd love ballet flats or something else cute I can wear over and over. I really don't like sneakers. I've never found ones that don't hurt or make me sweat like crazy. And I tend to wear dresses, so sneakers don't look the best.

I'm convinced that stylish orthopedic shoes don't exist!

I know you guys have to know of good shoes to walk around Disney! What do you wear at Disney?

I prefer to wear cutish shoes, but I have a bad back so I've really struggled with what I can wear. Last summer I found Dr. Scholls joliet shoes. They have a slightly thicker bottom, but not gigantic like other "comfort" shoes I've seen. They look like ballet flats on. I wore them in Europe last summer, walking at least as much as I walk in Disney per day, and I my back actually hurt less.

Omg I tried on the go walk and go run and both feel amazing. I'm just concerned how thin they are all day on hard pavement. I'm going to buy them and wear them on a local zoo trip this summer to test them....

DH and I always buy a new pair of cross-trainers a few weeks before our trip and wear them to break them in and make sure they are comfy for long walks. I like Pumas and he's a New Balance guy.

I was finally thinking about getting a pair of ugly Crocs REALLY.
Are you all saying now this is not what I should be wearing to the parks?
THANKS!

I'd try on the skechers

The skechers material is so light and "meshy"... I think it will dry quickly on water rides.

Crocs are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn at DW. I've seen people rave about Teva sandals but they gave me the worst blisters I've ever had in my life!

One year our kids wore crocs and loved them. The next year, they and husband all wore them and got the worst blisters ever. So bad that we had to go buy socks. I wear Nike flip flops that I make sure to break in before we go. I've worn them for 7 trips and never had a problem. I can't wear sneakers because my feet get too hot, and the Nikes are cuter than crocs.

Best tip: start going for regular walks at least a month before your trip. Wear the shoes you plan on wearing to the park. You'll find out quickly if they work.

We also brought moleskin for our recent trip jic. My sister (who didn't do the walks with us) got a blister the first day and raved about the moleskin.

Our feet were still brutally sore from all the walking (we tend to criss cross the parks a lot for FPs etc.) but no blisters wearing Geox sandals and shoes.

It seems that all tennis shoes make my feet hurt anymore. So for our trip last month, I broke down and purchased a pair of Merrell Barefoot Run Bare Access Arc 2. Best decision I have made in a long time! Although my feet were tired, they did not hurt.

Good arch support brands are Orthaheel, Ryka and Dansko.

I wear all three. Specifically my flip flops are Orthaheel, my sneakers are Ryka's and my sandals are Dansko brand.

I also have a pair of keens that have arch support but I haven't worn them long enough to recommend them yet.

Good luck in your search.

Pretty much no one on earth will agree with me, because flip flops are generally agreed to be the worst shoes for your feet, but I have flat feet, and I HATE sneakers for long days of walking. My feet get sweaty and I always get blisters. I have found that certain types of Reef flip flops have great arch support. I like the Gingers, and have worn them to Disney before. Yes, my feet hurt by the end of the day, but they hurt in sneakers too, and I get no blisters in the flippy floppys! :)

I just bought the Go Walks. I hope my feet don't get too sweaty during our trip in May but I hate the feeling of socks and tennis shoes when it's hot.
