Comfortable shoes that aren't sneakers?

We are leaving for WDW in 11days . On our last trip in December I mostly wore my running shoes in the parks. The problem for this trip is that I *hate* wearing socks and sneakers when it's really hot. Plus, wet sneakers in the frequent summer afternoon showers is no fun.

Any ideas for shoes that are still comfortable but are maybe more breathable and water resistant than sneakers?

Keen, Teva, or Chaco are probably the most popular brands of all-weather sandals like this (though there are plenty more that are similar).

I personally have Keen Newport H2 but you can't go wrong with any of them that you prefer.

I don't like to admit this, but I find them ugly in general, but before our 2014 trip, I bought a pair of Croc ballet flats. I wore them without socks. They were insanely comfortable and I have plantar fasciitis. They were similar to this. My feet were happy.

I agree..I can wear crocs all day and my feet AND legs hold out ....

Keen Newports! Have support like a tennis shoe but made to get wet!!

DD and I usually wear Bernie Mevs, but If they get soaked I do wear a different shoe the next day because the insole can stay wet. Merrell makes a water sandal for hiking that comes in both open and closed toe versions- I think it is called the Azura. I haven't tried it, but I know before DD was in women's sizes she wore their kids water shoe at WDW and it was great both for wet and dry days.

I have a pair of Keens and love them (I also have Keen Hiking shoes too, they are fab too)
I wear those or tevas

I'm the same way - hate socks but for all the walking I need something better than dollar flip flops. I like the Skecher Go Walks but even with the memory foam, my feet hurt after just 5 hours at the zoo plus I got massive blisters on the back of my heel. I now wear my Nike Flyknits if I'm going to be walking a lot. They are sockless, breathe well and don't rub! I'm also looking into buying some supportive flip flops.

Edit - just noticed your name is runnermama so I thought I'd add that most of my sub-5k runs have been in the Flyknits as well. Normally I don't walk in my running shoes but these are the exception and it has been super comfortable!

I am bringing 5 pairs of shoes for our 10 day trip! Chacos, Olukai Ohana flip flops (my favorite), Birkenstock EVA (these are plastic-y/waterproof), Cobian Bounce flip flops and Skechers Reggae Rasta in case any of the others fail me. I'm still actually debating the Skechers- if we don't have space I likely won't bring them, but if there is room I will throw them in.
