I saw a fountain show at night




I went for a stay at another beautiful resort


I rode a Magical Train


I saw a Dragon on a Bank


I went to a Dark Magical Alley


I saw Halloween Pumpkins in May




I saw a Snowman in 95 degree heat so its magical you see


And a Castle on a mountain

I had lemonade at a pub with a Hog on the wall




I found out that Earl has a girl named Pearl


I visited the Cat in the Hat




I rode a fun train High in the Sky


Took a trip on a ride that had webs


Rode on a fish and did not get wet


And visited a store that celebrates Christmas all year long.

Thank you to everyone who came along for this trip report. I had a great time on my short trip.

If you are on the fence about a trip to Epic Universe GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! It is beautiful and truly something to see and experience in person.

My only issue during my visit there was the food and hopefully they have the kinks worked out on that by now.

The other issue was not being able to ride MOM…..not sure what the fix for that will be.

Of course on this trip I had to work in a stay at my favorite Resort at Universal Portofino.

I also worked in time to visit Universal Studios and IOA. My favorites.


I’am looking forward to going back to Epic on my upcoming trip in September for HHN if the Universes aligns

I really enjoyed reading your trip summary and all of the wonderful photos. I've never been to Universal or Epic but am seriously thinking about taking grandkids next August. They will be 17 and almost 13. We are going to Disney World in a couple of weeks, so a trip to Universal will be very different. I'm not a big fan of roller coasters!

Your grandchildren are at a perfect age for Universal.

There is really something for every age group at Universal. Coasters are one of the rides they do well, but there are so many other rides and shows to enjoy.

You would love Epic Universe, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.

Just want to warm you when you visit Universal Parks for the first time you will be hooked for sure.

It is nice to have a little Disney and Universal for vacation.

I wanted to back track a little there is a parking garage provided at the Helios Grand.

If you park on the second floor of the parking garage it leads right to the front door via a short pathway to the right of the entrance.

A side note. If you’re coming to Flora Taverna or Bar Helios to dine at the Helios Grand Hotel and you spend at least $50.00 you can have your parking ticket valeted and there is no charge for parking.

If you are an overnight guest and you dine $50 at Flora Taverna or Bar Helios, can you use that parking validation instead of paying the overnight rate?

My understanding is that you can get your garage parking ticket validated for the time you are having your meal. I’am not sure if there is a time limit on the meal parking validation or not. Someone who has had a meal there would be able to share that information if they read this.

I guess the other way to look at it is why have a $100.00 meal at Flora Taverna to bypass a $36.00 parking fee for staying over night.

Yes, I agree it doesn’t make sense to dine just to get a parking validation, but we are staying at Helios multiple nights so I imagine we will dine >$50 on at least one of those days.

You will like Epic Universe.

Dark Universe is my favorite portal. You will love Darkmoor.

Make sure to bring a big enough suitcase so you can buy some merch. The merchandise in Darkmoor is awesome as is the merch in the other Portals.

My sister and I will be there for HHN in Early September too again this year. I’am going to look at the dates that might work for us and try and get her over for a look at Epic if tickets area available.
