Come over - A Perfectly Pompous TR (Updated: Boarding pass from the pool please!)

Okay, let's try this again. :lmao: Let's all pray.

Hmmm. It's Thursday.

Calm down ;) -on the trip. And well this is about the time that Jean and I became - well - dining plan haters.

:scared1:

Don't gasp.

I don't know how a girl that has eaten salmon out of a can at WDW can down a dining plan. But she can.

And she will. This is MY TR. :lmao::rotfl: That's my try at pompous. You like? It feels so foreign. IT"S SO UGLY. :goodvibes

There's nothing wrong with the plan. At all. We've done free dining the first year we had DVC and loved not thinking about money. And it was pure joy until this point. I swear. There was great anticipation, planning, snack credit glee and then it all just stopped.

It's us. We have spent years at WDW budgeting. Sharing meals. Eating in. And the feeling of a food focus was just foreign. And let be known I ADORE FOOD. ADORE IT! And yes, I know many have the DP and don't focus on food for the trip. May I remind you - you probably have park passes - rides and shows to distract you.

Something just stopped working for us.

It MIGHT have something to do with this -

The AKLAKMKEpcotDDPORDolphinSwanYCBCBWVDPOPHS bus. Out. Transfer. Eat. Out. Transfer. Home.

100_5493-1.jpg

Maybe, eh?

See I told you it started off well.

Those buses became our personal little Disney Photopass.

The many bus stop shots -

100_5429-1.jpg

(Our lovely CR - Pepper Market) - Isn't it beautiful?

This of course is always the exception to any bratty chatter. I love this boat. Thank you Disney for this magnificent freebie.

100_5502.jpg

And then this happened. Look at us. Jean is obviously done. D-O-N-E done. Look at her!!! :lmao: Me? Don't I look stoned on cupcakes?

100_5413.jpg

Well don't I? You can say it.

Once again I love Disney transportation. But not commuting from the suburbs. :lmao:;) .

We simply got tired of thinking about food and thinking about the fastest transfer station. I drink only water and alcohol at home. Doesn't that sound lovely? :lmao: (I rarely drink for anyone out there who is about to send me a pamphlet:rotfl:)

I'm trying to say that everything in between doesn't really turn my crank.

We were never hungry. NEVER. And we hated that. We got oranges as snack creditss - fruit plates as meals - salads. (In addition to some really tasty "crappy" food of course - lots ). We gave away meals and snacks to our family. Shhhhh - I know.

Nothing helped that full, full, full feeling. Nothing. :sad2:

But it gave us a good laugh at the airport on the way home.

We both said, "I'm hungry!!!". And the sun shone across both of our faces. And happiness had returned. HUNGRY!!!! HUNGER!!!!!

It's back.

:yay::thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

We might try it again - with a car. Who knows. And some people will be saying, " just don't eat as much". We felt that we didn't. But I guess we did.

It was a just a :confused3 feeling. Who knows?

Up next: It will always be this to me.

100_5701.jpg

Such a lovely place, isn't it? I can't wait to show you all our day there. I lost a lot of great shots there. But I still have some magical ones. It's hard to take a bad shot at that place. So beautiful and relaxing. Truly.

100_5582.jpg

Oh Kathy. I was so wrong with my chicken sh-- guessing. I'll be back. I have to go do something.

NOOOOO!!!! Losing another installment! :sad2:

And no more guesses on the lights? Actually - I don't think I even read one! But enough waiting.....

#1-3 are BWV's.

#4-5 are WL. :lovestruc #5 is along the sidewalk from the front entrance heading towards the park busses.

And #6 is TOTWL!

Three - yep.

Four - yep.

Five - yep.

Got them.

All I can say about one and two - well straight shame. ;) They must be around where those BW view people are. ;) I'm a Standard girl. There's a whole lotta love in the Standard.

And six will have me laughing tomorrow because it will so "OH YEAH" and I'll feel so stupid. :goodvibes

And regardless - gorgeous shots.

I know what you mean!! We've only done dining once - it came as this little freebie with our room. And you got an app and dessert. And tip was included. And, my DH, who can eat enough for 3 people when he eats (and is skinny as a rail ) got so he didn't even want to go to the next meal! Me either!! All the time planning, getting to the meal and then staring at the menu b/c you can't imagine eating any more. It's been crossing my mind to try again so I'm glad you reported what you did and reminded me of our past experience. I think we're just snackers with a meal thrown in here and there. DH prefers to live on turkey legs and Mickey bars actually. :lmao:

Up next: It will always be this to me.

100_5701.jpg

Oh yes, I remember when........many good times spent there.

Okay, is this your payback for WPE? :lmao:

Tower of Terror With Love? :rotfl: Yes, I know - obviously not. :rotfl2:

Oh my head.

stoned on cupcakes

:worship: - - I think you must have found the three most beautiful words in the English language.

Okay, okay - - maybe "won the lottery" surpasses "stoned on cupcakes" by a narrow margin but it sure beats what I'm doing today: "mopping the kitchen," "scrubbing the toilets," and "doing the laundry." :laundy: Uggggg.

Love your trip report and picturesd. !! we will be there in 30 days :cool1:

Ok, for those of us who have no clue who you are and never read your trip report before I need to ask some dumb questions, and if in any way they seem insensitive or really stupid, please forgive the ignorant

Jean is your sister, daughter, friend? :confused3

you said you werent married(think that is what you wrote) so if she is your daughter..did you adopt, foster..steal a child off the streets?

I tried very hard to get all the relationships correct from your very luck ridden parents to the herd of people in the villa, but i have failed miserably!

Oh, well, will go look at some more of your pictures simple ones like ducks, where I dont get too confused.

thanks again!

BTW one thing I have learned from the dis is appreciating th details of disney..simple things like light fixtures make all the difference

Oh my kindred spirit. I hate anything that gets in the way of spontaneity. ANyTHING.

ADRs - I don't even know what they are. :goodvibes

Yea, we believe you. (Insert smiley or winky thing here)

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Just thought I would introduce you to a few of your loved ones.

Come on. Tell me your favourite.

Is it wrong that all I went after reading this is into major vanity issues - as in OMG - how old do I look these days?

To be Jean's mother.:lmao:

Like that's the last time I post a picture of me. :lmao:;):lovestruc

Lisa, I SO knew you were thinking that!!! I don't think you look old enough to be Jean's mother at all. :goodvibes

Oh, and I loved "stoned on cupcakes" too. Mmmm cupcakes.

I didnt think she looked old enough, but again I am confused and trying hard to understand, wasnt the sad losing basketball kid a son?

or is he a brother? but then that makes the parents rather old to have a boy that age!!

Ok, I need a vacation to go figure this all out!! :3dglasses

This TR is going so many places. Lighting fixtures, evil bunnies, black and whites (pink for me!), my lack of dates. :rotfl:

Love your trip report and picturesd. !! we will be there in 30 days :cool1: Thank you. Have fun!

Jean is your sister, daughter, friend? :confused3 Jean is my ex. Unfortunately. :lmao: Not unfortunately that she was my partner. ;) Unfortunately, it has to be ex after all these years (15 now - 12 together) Any gay women out there - she's a catch. Me. Long story. And why was "Jean is your mother?" not asked. :rotfl:;)

you said you werent married I'm not married because thinking I was gay, which I am UNFORTUNATELY not, kind of slowed down the process of being asked by a man. :lmao: Although I do live in a lovely country where I could get married regardless:

(think that is what you wrote) so if she is your daughter..did you adopt, foster..steal a child off the streets?

I so loved the stealing a child off the streets. :lmao:;)

I tried very hard to get all the relationships correct from your very luck ridden parents to the herd of people in the villa, but i have failed miserably!

[COLOR="darkorchid"]The black people in the villa see me as their aunt or SIL because that is what I was most of their life. So they still do. And course they love me.

Oh, well, will go look at some more of your pictures simple ones like ducks, where I dont get too confused. Smiling.

thanks again!

You're welcome. I'm thankful because I was an openly gay woman for so many years - until I learned the awful truth that I was straight :sad2::laughing:- and I would hate anyone to think that I was homophobic about myself. Yes gay people can be homophobic. ;) And if you knew the WHOLE story I would sound smart, strong and a person who knows herself. But it's a long one.

BTW one thing I have learned from the dis is appreciating th details of disney..simple things like light fixtures make all the difference

So true. So true.

Yes, those of us who are newbies are confused as to who the players are. I can tell that you are not Jean's mother...and I understand who your parents are, but beyond that...clueless! :confused3

I'm just teasing you first pickles. :goodvibes I was typing at the same time. I was always going to answer.

wait after so many years and a recent Disney trip why is Jean gone? Oh the gossip and the drama!! Love it!!

I didnt ask if jean was your mom, because you didnt write the report in such a way that would have made me guess that way. however, there was a brief moment I thought you were Jean and Jean was a fellow!! and Lisa was no where in any pictures :rotfl: Ok, did that make any sense :confused3

at least you kept us all guessing and entertained for a morning!!

Lisa, I SO knew you were thinking that!!! I don't think you look old enough to be Jean's mother at all. :goodvibes

Oh, and I loved "stoned on cupcakes" too. Mmmm cupcakes.

So funny. :goodvibes

I didnt think she looked old enough, but again I am confused and trying hard to understand, wasnt the sad losing basketball kid a son? He is Jean's brother's son. IE. OUR nephew. Because I have always been his aunt.

or is he a brother? but then that makes the parents rather old to have a boy that age!!

Ok, I need a vacation to go figure this all out!! :3dglasses

But you are going on vacation.:goodvibes

Just ignore my vanity issues pickles.

You're killing me. Jean is not gone. In fact, she'll be home momentarily. Nothing bad happened on the trip.

Although I will not tell her the looking like a man thing. Just teasing pickles.

We are just no longer together because God said to me one day - three years ago -"I'm sorry sweetheart - I know I know - I know I truly blessed you to think you were gay but you're really not. I'm so incredibly sorry for this mix up. I'll really work on finding you a good man. I'm SO sorry" .

And Jean - she's happily fully and wonderfully gay.

(I can joke about it now, but it was actually fairly devastating at the time!)

Imagine if I took this over to the Community Board. I would have people praying for my soul right now. :lmao:

I say go ahead as long as you pray for yours as well. ;)

Oh my kindred spirit. I hate anything that gets in the way of spontaneity. ANyTHING.

ADRs - I don't even know what they are. :goodvibes

:worship: Oh bless you!!! I always feel like an alien on these boards when I don't have every meal planned out a year in advance. :rotfl:

OK..I may be finguring things out, but then again probably not. SO...Jean is still a friend but not a partner..is that why she was on the recent trip?

Loved reading your report Lisa! Great pictures too. You have inspired me to take pictures of the little things on my next trip!
