Come on AP Rates!!!

I called and got the AP rate for Oct
they added insurance without asking
Had to call and hold for a second time to remove insurance, but everthing is wonderful again!!!!!!!!

Hi all. I am truly disappointed and frustrated with the new AP rates. No discounts on Fri and Sat. I don't recall that even happening before, but maybe I am wrong. The same situation for the GP rates and there are no new discounts for Florida Residents. Thanks alot, Disney.

It's not across the board either. I checked Beach Club, 12/10-12/17 and the weekends were the same $197 as the weekdays. Maybe it's just that way during reg season, but in value it's not?

The 26th is not in the offer, that's rack. The 27 th is discounted, but the Sat rate is higher. I really think that WDW had a big number of rooms for the 27th since the PIN for most of the year didn't include it nor did Bounceback offered. We have a res. starting the 28th with bounceback from Feb and will be adding the 27th at a much higher, although discounted rate due to the fact that the 27th has a higher reg. rate. Hope this helps.

I knew that the 26th wasn't included because of Thanksgiving, but I found it odd that they did include the 27th in the passholders rates offer, when that would normally be rack. I'm actually going in January, I just find it facinating all the different prices for the same product. I just love the fact that the room doesn't change at all, but it's three different prices.

All don't include tax. All 35% off. Hope this helps. You have to look at the reg. rates and then the discount amt. You can get the reg. rates by just pretending to book a res. on the main WDW page with no discount.

After 4 phone calls and waiting a few hours for someone from Guest Relations to call me back I ended up getting what I wanted all along.....

I had a PIN Code ressie for 2 rooms at CR and now I have an AP rate with DDP for a 2 Bedroom Suite at BLT which will be perfect for our large family! I am soooo excited! Thanks for all of the help!!

AP is not helping me out either. I already had a 40% off PIN e-mail code that I booked Poly Garden View with so I am not too devastated.

However ... I was really hoping to switch to an AP rate so I could add the dining plan but they only had MK view which was quite a bit more. I figure whatever we would save on the DP would be outweighed by the more expensive room.

Checked other resorts and there is not much availability for ANY standard rooms at any deluxe resorts for my dates the 1st week of November.

So I guess my game plan is to go OOP on dining this time. Probably means less money for Disney so oh well.

Get the Tables in Wonderland card!!! It will more than pay for its $75 fee and we usually come out alittle ahead of the DDP cost too.

yes, it is and I,too, am paying 3 prices even though all are discounted (although not quite so dramatic since all are discounted). I know without a discount it can be almost twice as much. I guess that's just the way it is when you have different holiday/season rates and sales.

You are talking about AP rates, if you have one you can get TIW for discounts on dining that I find is better than the dining plan based on our eating habits. I really would never buy the plan, but we have been on it when free. We don't really eat desserts or the drinks so we make out better with the 20% off plus alcohol is also discounted. Just a thought if you have an AP

as far as the AP rate not helping-it didn't help us either for our Feb 2010 stay at WL. We had a 40% PIN and the rooms (standard or woods) were never avail at the AP 45 % discount. I tried every day too. Anyway that's what happens sometimes. We did use TIW like I said and saved a lot (over $250) but we did have 6 for most of the trip and ate a 2 Signature restaurants (which we wouldn't have other wise done even on DDP) We will be using the TIW again in Nov and it's already more than paid for itself!

I swear you need to be a CPA to unravel this years Disney discounts, the actual "price" is so obfuscated!

Anyway, I need help from the annual passholder crowd.

I'm staying in a 2 br the Villas at Wilderness Lodge from Nov 27-Dec 4 2010. The room cost is a lot of cheddar.

Disney just gave me free dining, but I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to go for an AP room rate over the free dining.

My fear is that the Villas, as well as the time of year seem to have a lot of blackout dates, and I don't want to get stuck with an AP and pay the rack rates anyway.

VWL 2 bedroom rates are $845 for the 27th, and $660 (*6) for the other days for a total of $4805. There's 5 of us, so I figure the DDP "saves" us about $100/night for a total of $800. *IF* the AP rates are valid for the whole stay, that would be 45% off the $4805 or over $2000 (minus the AP cost). Still way better right?

Any help information about the AP discounts or sympathy appreciated

At CBR for 4 nights over Columbus Day Weekend (Oct 9-13), the AP price was $39 cheaper total than the general public discount from Monday. The Saturday night was discounted.
I also checked avail of All Star Music with the G.P. discount versus the AP discount. Both were available as of this morning - AP was $20-25 cheaper.
That makes sense I guess, since the AP discount is 5% more.

Ok so I played with my dates and I ended up doing the following:

AP rate Monday 1st and Tuesday the 2nd with Deluxe Dining Plan
PIN rate Wednesday 3rd for 3 nights, no dining plan.

I figure we will do all of our expensive dining the 1st 3 days since our credits will be good Monday Tuesday Wednesday and then OOP it the last 2 as we leave early on Saturday anyway.

We passed our ROI point within three days of buying the TIW card and everything after that is gravy. It cost us $75 and we've already saved over $100 and we have a full week coming up in December (that will include V&As!) and we don't even drink, so if you add the discount to alcoholic beverages then your savings will be even bigger. I don't know why any AP holder would want to do the DDP instead of TIW - TIW is sooooooo much better and more flexible. No counting credits, no worrying about what is covered. Just go eat.

I was just checking AP rates for the WL and Villas there for those dates. Nothing is avail. at the AP rates only SSR and OKW only studio $1370 and 1 bedroom villas 1863 for the timeframe.

I prefer the DDP over a 20% discount. On our last trip we saved way over 20%. The kids really enjoyed having the DxDp and are begging to do it again. Even my 70 pound 11 year old! LOL!

Maybe I will crunch the #'s and see if it is worthwhile for us to do the TIW card for the last 3 days and then possibly use it again in June when we return.

ITA! And believe me, I was a HUGE lover of the DDP (DxDDP, actually). I liked the idea of pre-paying for my food. But after using TiW a couple of trips I came to really appreciate it. I loved not being tied down to the credits, ordering what I wanted (sometimes an appy, sometimes no appy but maybe dessert etc)
