Looks like those were all Wednesdays. Wonder if it'll be the 11th or 18th this year? Or if they'll really do it on a Sunday, the 15th.
I'd love this coming Wed. - so eager to book for October

Well, in the past few years, ticket price increases were announced on Friday to go into effect on Sunday. This year, they were announced on Tuesday and went into effect on Thursday. So all bets are off!

I hope they come out soon! :surfweb:

Hi Johnsonet, :goodvibes

I am waiting on AP rates too. We have our reservations booked at Club level for part of our trip. Really need that AP discount :yay: like we all do.

I hope to see it come out on the 11th. We have to have the whole trip paid for by August 29th. I don't want to stress for another week. We have two rooms booked club level for our family.

What happens if they come out with AP discount after that date and we have paid off the room? Does that mean we are SOL????
Someone please tell me that is not a possibility?

Not at all. Just call and have the AP discount applied to your ressie and Disney will just credit the difference back to your credit card. I always pay my trips off early and then just apply the discounts as they come out. Last Dec I originally booked with a 40% PIN and had it paid off in a few months. When the AP discounts came out, I applied that so I wouldn't have to buy one day tickets I didn't need. They credited the price of the one day tickets back to my credit card. Then when the free dining offer came out, it was a better deal, so I just called back and again they credited the difference back to my credit card.

I'll be doing the same thing for both my upcoming Oct and Dec trips. Both were booked using the 35% off bounceback code they were offering when I was there last Dec and are paid in full. In order to add the DDP to them I had to buy one day tickets for each trip. When the AP discounts come out I'll be switching to that, so I can delete those one day park tickets I don't need and the credit will just show up on my credit card again.

This is awesome info. Thank you for sharing it. VERY interesting and good to know. Smart way to book your trips :thumbsup2

Thats great! We booked a bounceback last year and since I have AP I didn't add the dining plan, but if I can convert my BB to AP, then I will add the dining plan. Thanks for the tip!

New here, but hoping discounts come out soon. We have already paid for our trip, but we are hoping to upgrade if a deal comes out!

Thank you so very much Aubriee! Great information I feel better about our trip now. You also brought to mind an idea....maybe we will be offered a bounceback code while we are there. Thanks again.

Thank you Johnsonet, :hug:Believe it or not, we are just now starting to get excited. With everything that has been going on the last 2 1/2 months with my DH's mom and dad I haven't even finshed making our ADR's. Just didn't have time until this today. :scared1: Have to see what is left that will work.

Angel - I'm so sorry. I'd forgotten about your MIL :guilty:
I'll PM you.
Good luck with your ADRs - you might be pleasantly surprised. And I LOVE the on-line dining system :lovestruc

someone mentioned the dolphin previously had a $99 rate. was that for AP, or open to anyone? also, would i check their website for this or any other discounts? looking for last part of october. thanks!!

Bumping as I would like to know this too!

SWAN/DOLPHIN

We were fortunate to get the $99 rates twice, it was from clicking on the banner at the top of the Dis Resort page and then navigating through the site to see what deals were going on.

I have been able to get $99-119 nights with my AAA and FL resident status. We also have a Starwood card but we just get upgraded with that, not a room discount

Swan/Dolphin don't do AP rates b/c they are not operated by disney. Maybe this rate was on a discounter site like expedia?
Swan & Dolphin will occasionally offer AP rates if you have a WDW Annual Pass. You have to scroll thru the offers on the Swan/dolphin site...not the disney site.

The S/D do offer AP rates even though the resorts aren't Disney owned. The Nurse/Teacher/Gov't rates are usually better.

Well, if anyone is going to Hilton Head or Vero Beach, great news for you, 35% off. Now if you're going to WDW, you're still out of luck! :(

I saw that discount for Hilton Head on the Passholder page & my heart jumped as if it was the fall/winter AP discounts...too funny- I can see how excited I get..still waiting, ho-hum :rolleyes1

Well rats.... waiting on AP rates here too, we're shooting for a Nov trip, and a few December days around a cruise.... come ON Disney! Can't you see we're waiting here??? Sheesh......

So, do any of you really think that Disney monitors the fan sites? I've always thought that they would be foolish if they didn't as it provides instant fan reaction to so much. But, if they are monitoring this thread they would see a lot of really anxious people getting really upset while waiting for the AP discounts to come out. It would also give them ideas of how to tighten up all the little loopholes that we have all found that allow us to work the system. Oh well. I'm still waiting, impatiently, for the December discounts. But today I'm going to work on the September birthday trip for DD

It seems like even when the AP rates are released, availability is pretty limited at least for early December. I was able to snag a room at the YC with the PIN I received back in early June. But we were hoping to stay at a MK resort again. Just seems like slim pickings at this point for switching over there. Guess the cancellations will start flooding in soon. Maybe that will open things up. Is it 90 days for packages to cancel w/o penalty???
