Come on AP Rates!!!

Just got off the phone with CM, nothing available at GF, can not even change existing res.

i just called..no new AP yet..CM i spoke to said the existing one has been extended to Nov. 20.

well, looks like from the posts my CM gave me some mis-information.
i was leery about posting it..considering how many time CM get things wrong...should have listened to my gut...
..i will think twice before posting info. given to me by a CM again...at least without nailing down more details.

:flower3:

I am out...

Although, I don't quite understand, my price would increase if I added this discount.:confused3

I am paying rack rate for the last 2 nights of my reservation with the dining plan. She said I would need to add a 1 day ticket, okay, by my math it is still over a 400.00 savings.
I am too tired to think.
She quoted me a hirer price for 2 days than the previous 3. What???
I think I will wait until a new batch of CM's come in and have them explain it to me.

Just got off the phone with a really great CM. She ran our existing reservation and the new 25% discount. We can save $$ using this code, however our existing reservation is a passholders & dine (thanks to the orginal CM who made these back in March) If I change the ressie I loose the hold on the passholders discount when they become available. In other words all I have to do is call and when AP rates come out and it will be applied to this reservation.

The CM said they will be coming out with AP rates for October 3rd on through the year. Just don't know when, If for some reason they don't I copied the code down from the new discount.

Guess I am going to repeat this whole thing every day until my final payment is due on August 29th. Heading back to bed for an hour or two. Oh yeah, total time on phone waiting for Disney 1 hour, 47 minutes. sleeply........

Good luck everyone!

I got a bad CM when I first called in, too.....Don't feel bad.

After a 1 hour 45 minute wait, I got a really good CM. She confirmed no new AP rates past Oct 2.

My exisiting special rates for my Oct and Dec trips are better for the Oct trip and the same for the Dec. trip as the new general public discounts so I did not make any changes.

This CM suggested checking back in a day or two for AP rates, saying they often come out 1 to 2 days before or after each other. I don't think I'm going to get a better rate than what I have right now, though.

So no AP rates past 10-2 yet, darn.

Does anyone know if a reservation can be cancelled online or must one call to cancel a reservation?

So I currently have 2 reservations booked for the same dates! I am so frustrated! I have a BB (I think at 20% off) and the 24% off for POP booked since I did not have time to wait on hold for an hour to change the BB to the Room Only.

BUT both require a park ticket purchase to add a DDP, right?

So I guess I will cancel the BB and keep the Room Only until the *promised* AP rates are out. But HELLO! I would like for there to be some rooms left!

I am thinking about renting points for a studio so we do not have to mess with the whole ticket issue and have the Christmas decorations at WL, but the extra $120 is not worth it if the AP rates are really coming out.

We just got new AP vouchers the other day. With FD for our January dates, we're thinking about not activating them until our May (non-FD available) trip.
:confused3

just got off the phone and got a 50.00 discount going from a bounce back to a 25% code today...was on hold 1 hour and 15 minutes.did ask about the ap rate and was told none as of yet....this is crazy that they did not offer an ap rate before the gp rate....Well, 50.00 saved is better than nothing....

The 25% saved us $30... I booked it too... still hoping for AP!!! :goodvibes

i just talked to someone who said there was no guarantee an AP discount would be offered but to check back every day just in case.

I really have this feeling that we aren't getting anything this year. I keep hoping and trying to stay positive but .....

Oh well. I'm very depressed right now.:sad1:

Well if there is an AP discount past Oct. 2nd I wish the folks at Disney would realize that not all AP holders live in Florida. Some of us need the time to make airline reservations, dining, etc.:surfweb:

OK...I have my Nov. trip already booked with bounceback (I did this last December 2009) and I am holing the ressie under the bounceback code, which has to include a one day ticket for each of us...
I am trying to get my AP rate to get rid of the bounceback 40% discount and replace with the hopefully 40% AP rate...SO I can cancel the one day tix for all of us...

Is anything out yet, and if so, is it better than the 40% bounceback?? I thought I saw that the AP rates for the fall were 42% off rack rate...is that right??

I just got off the phone with a nice CM (after holding for an hour and a half ). She said they expected AP rates, but had no idea when they might be.

After all that, I ended up upgrading room type to "save money", but it's way more than I wanted to spend and won't allow us to add dining like an AP would. Now I wish I just cancelled while I had them on the phone.

Those AP rate will be out anytime! Don't sweat it, hopefully they will be 40% off room rate. I hate it when I feel like that! I am hoping, hoping, hoping, those AP rates come soon, so I can stop fixating on it! LOL

I just double checked my bounce back reservation and it is a room only reservation.

It seems we have to wait until last for any discounts or codes the past year or so. Also, none of the offers since the beginning of this year are even AP friendly. With the multi day ticket requirements now, at least 2 days in all this years offers, it will steer us away from the offers. I really think WDW is thinking they want others aside from the AP holders making res. and getting first pick. I guess time will tell, but in past years even though I had an AP, we did book the FD and even a PIN that gave a free $500 giftcard for 5 nights booked at ANY resort. The only requirement was to purchase a 1 day per person. I guess gone are those days or even getting AP rates out there somewhat early! Maybe time to rethink this. With almost all the room rates going up and some quite a bit and shortened or no Value seasons, maybe time to not go quite so often (like with an AP ) and go maybe every 2-3 years when having to purchase tickets. The FD offer has just been getting less and less the offer for us! Things just keep getting removed and the Values aren't even included with regular FD anymore. Just some of my thoughts on WDW new and recent offers and how AP holders really don't get any deal on them.

I admit, I am STUNNED that an AP rate didn't come out today, since a GP one came out through the end of the year.

ITA that it stinks about having to get 2 day tickets instead of 1 day tickets too for all the package plans (WAY TO PENALIZE THE AP HOLDERS!!)

I am SO glad that we got a pin code last fall that covered all these 2010 dates, or else we would have been shut out of all our favorite resorts :headache:

I am an AP passholder and I just do not see a reason for the uproar of a 2 day ticket over a one day ticket. Either way you end up with a ticket that you will update in the future and get credit for what the ticket is worth.:confused3

We did this once during the 4/3 deal. We book the package and then just kept the tickets. Later we upgraded the tickets to APs again.

Also, so many are pissed they are not getting AP discount. The AP is a discount on your park entry. We typically get 30 days out of an AP. That is less than $18/day. That is a huge discount. You get to go in for a year as many times as you want. The AP room discount is a perk and I never buy an AP for that reason.
