Come along on our Spring Break Photo Trip/Dining Report 2012! Update 9/12 Epcot

We got up early the next day to head to the MK!!! Wanted to be there by rope drop on on the bus early,

Arrived right before it started!!

Then into the park we went. Oh my!!! YIKES! Look at the crowds! Quite different from October!

Then rushing down Mainstreet and heading to Tomorrowland...

Look who I saw along the way! So cheery!!

First stop, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin! I don't even try to win, too busy with the camera!

Next the family was off to ride Space Mountain so the motion sick queen headed off for a peaceful People Mover Ride and random shots along the way:

Then we headed off to Hunted Mansion. On the way I was thrilled to see the sigh that was place for Randy at the Teacups. He was a Disney Imagineer at one time and is the writer of the Last Lecture. Very moving if you have not seen it. Check it our on Google or You Tube. So photos had to be take of it too!!

We are thinking of going spring break next year... we've always gone in the fall, but DD just made middle school cheer leading... so. How was it really?? Would you do it on spring break again? were the crowds, ride waits, really bad? Thanks for the info!

We go in the fall too but do to the DS15 football player, no more fall for us. Football is now June -Thanksgiving weekend. It was the only time we were able to go this year so we planned for it and had not really any options. Crowded? YES! Warmer, not bad but yes. Longer waits, YES. What really messes us up was Disney changing the fastpass rule two weeks before we went. We were pass hoarders and saved them for evening when it was crowded but with the new rule, we waited and waited.

Our option was to stay home or deal with it. We went with the attitude of crowds, lines and heat. Better than not going at all I guess! If you go knowing it's NOT like fall, you'll be okay.

We love trying new places, but the service was bad and the policy made no sense at all re the candy bar. Lesson learned!

I guess a crowded day at Disney is better than a day not being at Disney!

Okay, I am loving your pictures more & more with each update! I want to go to Disney with you so you can help me improve my technique. I've taken some beginner classes to at least learn how to use my camera off of auto. I'm slowly getting better. But, you have a great eye. That picture of Stitch is great!

How in tarnations did you survive those crowds! Oh wow! That's crazy! I would probably HATE WDW if I were thrown into crowds like that. Hopefully not though, because I'm planning on going the week after Christmas which is the busiest time of the year! lol!

LOVING the pictures! I toted around my D60 back in 2008 and couldn't really enjoy myself because I thought I would break it! Since my touring style is always GO GO GO! Next trip I will have more time to just relax and take pictures!

I'll check my calendar! There were actually a group of people from Flicker who got together and went to Disney and just did photography, helped each other and had a great time! Wish I would have been able to do that!

I'm so used to having my camera with me at Disney! My kids don't recognize me when we get home with out a camera plastered to my face!!

So next we were off to the Haunted Mansion! YEA! so excited to try my lens on this ride but I really didn't have luck this first go around. It was also our first time to see the new additions outside the Mansion so we tool a lot of photos!

Well, my parents are driving down the day after Christmas so I'm bumming a ride with them. I could always skip parks that week since I'll be staying down there until January 24th or so, which means I'll have plenty of time to go to parks and do all the good stuff!! BUT I really want to see the lights in all the parks so I might just go to see the lights and decorations. This would be the only way I could ever get away from work during this season, since I work at a Christmas shop, and I'd be shot if I requested time off before Christmas to go to Disney!

Free ride to Disney! Perfect!!!!! You could get the best of both worlds if you get to see the Christmas decorations and if you can go back about the second week of Jan, it's supposed to be one of the lowest attendance time in the parks!!!

Yeah, I know....I'm insane! But I wanted to take my cousin for a graduation present and that was the only time she could go. It's going to be incredibly hot and incredibly crowded, but I won't have my little one to worry about and my cousin can take care of herself, so I think we will be alright. We plan to take full advantage of both AM and PM EMH each day (with hopper passes of course) and take naps during the day. I think we will be fine. (I'm just gonna keep telling myself this)

I love your HM shots. I've never been on that ride as I was too scared as a kid, and my son was too scared in Feb. Can't wait to test it out in July!

Your thinking is like our spring break thinking, it's going to be hot, crowded but fun! Getting to take advantage of the early and late hours will help also!

Next we headed over to Frontier Land to Ride our family favorite, Splash Mountain! Line wasn't too bad so we went ahead and fastpassed for after lunch and waited with in line to ride:

For some reason I didn't get that many photos on the first run

Then the kids headed over to SM while DH and I took the train over to see the new openings at FL

It was CRAZY crowded so we didn't ride anything, just took a few photos and tried to manage our way through the crowds:

We met the kids at one of our favorite CS:

We all liked different items that day.
