DAY ONE
Saturday Jan 23- Almost There!!!!! :cool1:
We should hopefully have a very short drive left before we see this!!!!

101_6336.jpg

After seeing that magical archway, we’ll head straight to here…
IMG_2396.jpg

This is actually my sister‘s room, I forgot to take a picture before we messed it all up.
IMG_2164.jpg

This is my Dad peeking in our windows to see if we are ready yet. :magnify: Can you see why we’re looking forward to this trip being just us? :rotfl: I will miss having my parents and sister’s family but it will be nice just the four of us. DH is VERY happy about it! :love2:
IMG_2423.jpg

Once we are all checked in (I doubt our room will be ready that early), we will head over to MK for a little while.

Glad I took this pic last year since I heard the moat may or may not have water in it while we are there. :sad2:
101_6345.jpg

Last year this was our first attraction. One of my favorites for some reason. I think that because it's my Dad's favorite and one of the few attractions I remember from my trip as a kid.
101_6352.jpg

This year Andrew has already informed us that this will be the first ride for us in 2010! I couldn't tell you how many times we were on this one!

101_6636.jpg

Last year we were lucky enough to meet this guy waiting outside!
101_6366.jpg

This pic was the only one we had taken in front of the castle- the last night of our trip. I am making sure we get one taken during the day this time- scaffolding around the castle or not. ;)
image267.jpg

After a little visit at MK we will head back to CBR and get all settled in our room. Not sure if we will head to another park or not before calling it a night. We may be worn out from the long ride and want to get some rest before starting fresh on Sunday!

Here's some of my CBR and MK layouts in case you missed them earlier in the PTR!

It's a 35 on there alright! I showed DH the shirt after I finished and his first response- you had to put a 35 on there didn't you. :lmao: I keep teasing him that now he's considered mid 30's and I'm still going to be early 30's! :rotfl:

If you ever need iron on transfers go to Amy (she's Amy M_I_C_K_E_Y on here) Hers are the best! I didn't find them until after my trip last year but this is second time I've ordered from her. I still have birthday shirts I made for my kids last year that look brand new after tons of washes.

I had autograph books on my to make list but I'm not sure if I'll get to them or not. :confused3 Last year I made pressed penny tubes and we only made a couple pennies so I'm not doing that this time.
Busy Busy Busy - can't wait to see what you have done now!

I did come out of lurkdom more so here and other Snowbird threads, most times I subsribe to a thread before I post anything and then I can't remember where I am posting and where I am not :rotfl:

When I read that - boy do I feel old! Memory going already!
:lmao: Too bad they don't let you categorize your thread subscriptions...Post vs. Lurk!

I say things like that to my DH (5 years older!). Except we had to change 30s to 40s. Ugh.

Well I feel like we hit 30's much quicker than I thought we would so I'm sure I'll be saying 40's soon enough. You're as young as you feel though and judging by our love for Disney, we're pretty young then. ;)

Finished my online check in!!!!

Now watch, with my luck that line will be longer than the regular line to check in :lmao:

you got me all excited about your first day at WDW!! :goodvibes But fortunately mine isn't so much further away!! :cool1:

:cool1: For being able to do the pre-check in!! At least the lines should move quicker even if they are longer! :thumbsup2

Do you use a digi scrapbook kits? I have toyed with the idea of trying my hand at digi scrapbooking but I am a traditionalist (and a verging hybrid--though more for journaling and titles at the moment). Beautiful pages (I think I commented once, but I still think they are!! :rotfl:)

YAY for online check in - I am still undecided. I have heard the online lines are longer. Not that it matters, but I am curious if it will actually make your room ready sooner? Does it ask for arrival time? I should check it out.

I bought some digital scrapbooking software during our Boxing Day sales, it was $30.00 off ! Not sure how great it will be? A friend at work brought in her printed book and I loved the look of it... figures, here I am with boxes of stickers and paper and jibbitz and gems... I think if I went digital I'd have all my books done! My Disney 2009 book is still sealed:scared1:

Check this out, Monny...I have a very close to identical pic from last year! What day was that? Mine was January 24, 2009. Were you following me??? :tiptoe: Or maybe I was following you! :stir:

Thanks for the kind words! I started with journaling digitally and it blossomed form there so you never know!

It does ask what time you will check in and out. My hope is that it will have a room ready for us. I put that we will be there around 9am but I'm not holding my breath.
Congrats on trying digital- let me know how it goes! I've found it rather addicting. ;) It's definitely much faster for me.

Pretty cool, huh? :cool2:

THAT is crazy!!!!! It WAS taken on Jan 23rd- our first day at WDW!!!!!! We were probably walking past each other and never knew it! :rotfl: How cool!

:banana:One week from today I will be last minute packing and getting prepped for leaving in the dark of the night!!!!!

DAY TWO PLANS-

Sunday Jan 24- First Full Day at WDW!!!!!

We are going against all recommendations on this day and heading to DHS. It’s a Fantasmic! Day and the crowd calendars say to stay away. Um yeah, try explaining that to my 5 year old who is dying to get into the Jedi Training Academy. :darth:I’m hoping to get an early start- possibly be there when they open the park and get out before the evening Fantasmic crowds roll in.

Here’s what we hope to accomplish at DHS. I have a second day planned for here so whatever we don’t get to will spill over into the next day I have planned for here.

Em will be our guide…:lmao:
101_6820.jpg

  • Goal #1!!!! Get Andrew into the Jedi Training Academy. I will not go home with a broken hearted little Jedi wanna be again this time. :sad2:
  • image250.jpg
  • 101_6523.jpg
    101_6527.jpg
  • We may or may not do Star Tours- not sure if this is a good one for Andrew yet. :confused3 Any thoughts on it- it’s been years since I’ve been on it and I can’t remember how much you get jostled around on it.
  • Toy Story Mania- we have been practicing this on the Wii since Christmas!!!!!
  • Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular
  • Muppet Vision 3-D
  • Honey I shrunk the kids playground
  • Backlot Tour
  • Lights Motors Action Stunt Show
  • Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream- one of my faves
  • Voyage of Little Mermaid
  • Playhouse Disney
  • Beauty and the Beast Live- although DH is saying we’ll probably skip this one. We’ll see what he says when his sweet little princess bats her baby blues at him and says *please Daddy*

After spending most of the day at DHS we may head back to CBR for some dinner and hang out there for the evening (perhaps a little swimming if the weather is nice:cool2: ) or hop over to Epcot for a stroll. Who knows!

Here’s some of our pics from last year at DHS…

We’ll probably have lunch here- reluctantly.

We waited F_O_R_E_V_E_R to see Buzz and Woody. :headache: Just might be skipping it this time if the line is long. :rolleyes1

And I'm thrilled to say that I just downloaded a bunch of adorable freebies and purchased THE most fun Disney digital scrapbooking kits in preparation for scrapping the pics from this trip! :woohoo: They are by Kellybell and I can't wait to use them as soon as we get back!!!! :goodvibes (I would post a link to her blog but I don't think I can do that without getting in trouble :confused3 )

Oh Online Check In I can state an arrival time - I think I will use this feature :thumbsup2 Thank you for telling me!

I love your scrapbook pages, now having shared your PTR and getting to know you better seeing them again is really nice!

BTW - we will be in DHS that same day ! I've learnt DHS on a Fantasmic day is the way I am use to, so maybe I can use my experience to avoid the lines:rotfl:
We have a similar list of to do's, but I don't know it we'll get both LMA and Indiana Jones in. We've never done them before due to time.

Hey, I'm so excited for you!!:banana: Just a few days, wooo hooo!

I have to tell you that I'm loving my memories suite and digital scrapbooking. I've had a total blast finding disney kits, designs and especially freebies. I'm working on a weekly challenge for a scrapbooking site this week. It has a great prize. You probably already know about it. I will say it is challenging to keep it all organized. I just purchased a new external HD to help with that. Any tips on how you keep it all organized to know what you have? Kind of overwhelming.

I recently found the kellybell stuff and LOVE it. Just got our photopass cd this week from our last trip, can't wait to work on some of it. So much I want to work on, so little time.

Can't wait to keep up with your trip. Hope you guys have a super trip and here's some pixiedust: wishing you great weather!

HI Drakes :wave2: Hope you do not mind me jumping into the conversation. I have always been a traditional scrapbooker but I am SERIOUSLY considering given Digital a try. It seems much more forgiving so to speak than traditional scrapbooking can be.

Ohh!!! Care to share? I am curious to what page kits you have used in the past and what store you use now. Especially for Kellybell's things--I love her DISigns. :goodvibes
