Columbia Harbour House?

I swear the tuna didn't used to have pickle relish. :sad2: I guess I'll be crossing it off my list too. I just don't understand why they can't offer this as a condiment. :confused3

When I had the tuna sandwich in June from CHH it was on multigrain bread, but there was no sweet relish in it. I like sweet relish with mustard on hot dogs, but not in my tuna salad. I also do not like raw onions in it, but I don't think they put that in there. :) It may not be a favorite anymore. :(

Paul, Thank you for this sad confirmation. I guess I can send another email to the "black hole." (WDW Guest Services) :sad2:

When I had it in May it had some type of funky relish in it.It was like a tuna salad instead of just plain tuna.

My family loves Columbia Harbour House! We always find a seat, which is a huge plus. We love the food and we usually find ourselves in that area around lunch time. :wizard:

Tuna sandwich is still served on the multi-grain bread. Ingredients in the tuna salad are:

Tuna
Mayonnaise
Worcestershire
Hot pepper relish
Celery
Lemon Juice
Celery salt
Dill Pickle
Red onions
Dijon mustard
Ground white pepper

This recipe hasn't been changed in forever I'm told! The pickle, celery, and onion are run through a food processor, so that may be why some people can find them and others can't :thumbsup2

We ate here last month as part of a tour we were on, and I'm so glad we did. I'm not sure if we would have stopped here otherwise.

I had the Lighthouse Sandwich (aka the hummus sandwich) and DH had the Garden Harvest salad (which is basically a greens salad with chicken). Both items were very good, but my sandwich was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend trying it.

As others have mentioned seating is plentiful upstairs and, if you go during the right time of day, the atmosphere can be downright relaxing. I found the portions of the food to be quite large, as well.

Is this recent information? From other posts it sounds like the tuna salad sandwich might have been changed fairly recently, maybe in June or July?

Maybe there's still hope.

OH YUCK:scared: that is too much ingredients for tuna LOL...whatever happened to just adding Helmans Mayo to tuna:idea: LOL

We love it! We were taken there on the Keys to Kingdom tour on our first visit to WDW and have made a point to go back at least once each trip. I love the hummus sandwich with broccoli slaw. The best part is that the upstairs is rarely crowded (when we go) and the bathroom up there is usually clean and available.

I discovered CHH during the Keys to the Kingdom tour also. I also love the hummus/broccoli slaw sandwich and plan to have lunch there next week. Of course, I'll also plan to eat upstairs in the nice, quiet, air-conditioning!

Very sad about the loss of the ham sandwich - I am not the fish eater, and while the others in my family were, I would always get the ham. Not so adventureous as to have a hummus sandwich either. I had the BLT salad. But, I thought that in years past the chicken was in strips not nuggets - now there were only nuggets.

I agree (must be Hellmann's and not "light"), but I am OK with celery and some black pepper, too. ;)

It is hard to believe that all those things were in the sandwich I had in June. This calls for another try in October now that I know the ingredients.

True, they are nuggets now, but all reviews that I have seen say that the nuggets are the same quality as the strips, not reprocessed chicken like McNuggets, thankfully.

The hummus and broccoli slaw sandwich is delicious! This is our favorite counter service in the world. We ate there twice in one week during our July trip. I love this place!:thumbsup2

I truly enjoy CHH. It's always nice to get some kind of fish to get away from the burger-pizza-hot dog routine. And any place that offers clam chowder is great in my book. :thumbsup2
Cannot weigh in on the tuna. On my list of HATE!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared: That would drive my mom nuts since Dad hates fish but loves tuna and I'm the opposite. Ugh. So at CHH, I could have fish and Dad would get his burger or tuna sandwich ....... and Mom would steal from me. Sigh.

imo nuggets just aren't in the same ballpark as strips:confused3 , very disappointing to hear

1st the bread bowls for the soup disappear...

then the real apple pie gets the boot...

now this...stinks:headache: , it's off our list - shame

The nuggets were better than the kind associated with fast food places, but, still, I would have preferred strips.

We love it and it there at least once a trip. Go for it you will like it too.
