babytrees: For some reason, your first paragraph made me chuckle. I'm evil, I know, but the "thank goodness I didn't wear a skirt" sent me over the edge.

We had a couple of nasty hailstorm waves here last night, and now I've got a bunch of blowing snow out the window. It started at 6:50 am, right as DH and DD were heading out for the day. I'm expecting the sun to pop through at any moment to completely weird me out. The windows are all icy, looking in any direction no less. Rather a bleak outlook onto the neighbor's yard, with a snow-covered tree with no leaves. Oh well, time for more cocoa!

Stay safe, and babytrees... if I may offer a suggestion... Delivered pizza for lunch?

The funny thing is I giggled at myself for being thrilled that I chose pants today...because I would have had to worn brand new pantyhose and I doubt they would have made it through.

Bad part of the storm for me is....no satellite TV. It must be because of ice not accumulation!

Lisalynn, it amazes me how they never cancel kids sports over weather. It really gripes me when I see them out in the thunder and lightning.

This is nice though. We have a few inches and the wind is blowing everything around.

Job search is progressing... Talking to recruiters, and he had a phone interview with an actual company. Went well enough, but they want someone who knows Unix and DH's is out of date, so it depends if they have time for him to get up to speed, or need the skills yesterday.

One of the managers at his company that was very upset at how things went down, forwarded his resume to everyone she knows up here, and one got in contact right away. So we'll see how things go.

Well, it's 1:30 pm & no cancellation for the game . Guess I will be sitting outside freezing my tushy off tonight!!! Still no snow accumulation here in the Springs, just a few flakes spitting around & lots of COLD wind.

Yay! We just got word that DD's soccer game is cancelled tonight, as well. Plan to spend a quiet evening at home & stay warm!!!

postponed...until June 16th.

They must have made the decision early because Cassidy knew about it during announcements at 9 this morning. It of course looks lovely now...cold but lovely.

CoMickey-Hope your company gets in ok. Not only is the weather questionable but with American cancelling so many flights it may be challenging traveling today.

Thanks! He doesn't arrive until later tonight and the weather is looking better! The weekend forecast looks amazing! Can't wait I am so ready for Spring! Oh and you all will probably laugh but we are going to Casa Bonita tomorrow. I never go there unless I am going with someone from out of town or for a birthday party! This time was not my idea but instead we are meeting one of Mr. CA's friends who will be coming through Denver on his way to Michgan and he suggested meeting there for lunch. (This will be my second time since Jan. and that time was my idea. lol )

Thank goodness he is flying Delta this trip.
I hope American gets everything back together soon, I am flying them to Washington DC next week.

I know I was almost embarrassed to even admit that I have been there so recently AND that I am going again tomorrow! I would rather have taken them to White Fence Farm but they wanted Casa Bonita. Oh well...can't complain...I am taking the day off and Mr. CA will be here so everything will be just fine !

Me neither, the one and only time I went was when DH and I were dating probably 17 years ago. DD has been to a couple of b'day parties there and DH took DS one time when DD and I were GS camping.

We haven't been to Casa Bonita for three years either, but we also take out of town guests there who have kids. The girls always beg to go there, but we change their minds with CiCi's or Armadillos.

I am so thankful that the weather is improving on Mon and Tues. We are getting new carpet and have been sweating it out. Phew!
