Not from Colorado but spent a week in Telluride last summer.
OMG...it was sooo gorgeous (and gorgeous is not a work this guy uses!)
My relatives have a condo out there until their house is built.
We flew into the Telluride airport through the mtns. Nothing like having no room for error landing on that lil runway on that little plateau
I wish 5:00 traffic in downtown Telluride was like that here! LOL

They will be 12 and 16 on May 14th and they do look an awful lot alike....used to be more so.

My son just left to ref a soccer game in Boulder. It is raining a bit here in Louisville but not much.

Tomorrow should be a doozy. All the kids at the school I work at are hoping for a snow day. Not me...I have way too much to do at school to have a snow day.

No snow day please! My DBF is flying in from LA tomorrow night and we've been so lucky all winter and haven't had any bad weather with him flying in or me flying out. You would think I would be used to the CO weather living here all of my life but darn...!

What are the odds that we actually get the blowing snow and accumulation? The "Denver is getting 10 inches!" was a big joke. Now that we are all settled, stocked fridge, I wouldn't mind a real snowstorm, although I'm sure you guys just want spring already.

I was so excited waking up today thinking it might possibly be a snow day. Darn it, it is not sticking to the roads. I am with Hope, I really wanted a real big snowstorm today!

Not much snow here yet. Colorado Springs is not really suppose to get any accumulation. I work about 2 miles from Monument and a little concerned about the roads when I leave work if Monument gets what is perdicted.

Did post yesterday I was working on details for my daughters wedding. I got a lot of stuff ordered yesterday. Now the chore of making the favors and centerpieces.

Theresa- Girls are beautiful. I hear you about shelling out money on dresses. 2 of my girls went to every dance and HAD to have a new dress for each one. They are now hanging in a closet downstairs.

CoMickey-Hope your company gets in ok. Not only is the weather questionable but with American cancelling so many flights it may be challenging traveling today.

No snow im my part of the Springs--just freezing cold & so darn windy--I am so sick of the cold & wind this year!!! My oldest DD has a soccer game at 7 p.m. tonight, so I am hoping for a cancellation, but that is highly unlikely unless we get a bunch of snow (which we are not supposed to)--they seldom ever cancel high school soccer games--they played one during a snow storm a few weeks back!

That is one slick snow out there....my hiney met the sidewalk twice just going down my walk. I am still not dry an hour later. I am happy I didn't have a skirt on this morning.

Does anybody know when they would call the Rockies game if they do it before game time?? It's not all that cold out just snowy.

babytrees: For some reason, your first paragraph made me chuckle. I'm evil, I know, but the "thank goodness I didn't wear a skirt" sent me over the edge.

We had a couple of nasty hailstorm waves here last night, and now I've got a bunch of blowing snow out the window. It started at 6:50 am, right as DH and DD were heading out for the day. I'm expecting the sun to pop through at any moment to completely weird me out. The windows are all icy, looking in any direction no less. Rather a bleak outlook onto the neighbor's yard, with a snow-covered tree with no leaves. Oh well, time for more cocoa!
