Since I am learning all of these places, I went to their website. It lists the Springs as the first one in it's "Coming Soon" list. But I don't know how current they keep their website, so I suppose it could have been "coming soon" for awhile?

I was wondering where they would put the store. From our walkthrough of the mall...there just isn't space for a Disney Store. With them taking back ownership on May 1st I thought I would at least see a store front. Oh well.

I guess I am behind. Is it a for sure that Disney is taking the store back? Wonder how it will change them?

On the Rumors board they have a link to the bankruptcy filing and in it it gives the stores being taken back by Disney and those that are being closed up by Hoop. Both Southwest and Park Meadows were on the keep list.

I have heard rumors for about 3 years that they are going to open another Disney Store in the Springs. Maybe after Disney takes the stores back.

I realize I live in Denver, CO, but I have to admit to finding it wild that snow is forecast for tomorrow, seeing as it is 80 degrees here.

I took off from work yesterday and went to the zoo, it was a beautiful day!!! I don't want to believe that we will be getting snow again today!! I don't remember April having so much snow predicted in past years.

We are zoo members too, but the one in the Springs. It is a great way to save money and support the animals. I really want to go to the Denver Zoo again I have not been there in years.

We went to the Cheyenne Mountain zoo for the first time a couple of years ago and we loved it!!

I am thinking of getting a membership there either this summer or next so that we can go more than once...have I mentioned before we love going to Colorado Springs??

Has anyone seen the new ride that is going in at Elitch's called Ghost Blasters? I think it is like Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin or Astro Blasters, except with ghosts instead of Toy Story characters. I found this website, which sounds like it is the same ride.

Also, Billy Ray Cyrus is playing Elitch's this summer. How do you think he feels playing Elitch's while his daughter is selling out huge venues in a matter of minutes?

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.......the snow is really coming down here! Thank goodness the carpet got laid before all this. Now we have to move it all back in the house. What a huge mess.

Back to the Cici's conversation, not only are the cinnamon rolls yummy, the brownies are, too.

I worked at the Southwest Plaza Disney Store as a seasonal employee in 1999. We were going on our first DCL cruise and I thought it would be fun to get some spending money there. Man, I would never work there again. I spent more than I earned. Believe me, Disney doesn't pay well so it didn't take much. Everyone is right, tt is a very small store but I don't see them moving to a bigger one. Just my opinion though.
