Colorado DISers ... where are you ?

We have only eaten at WFF once many many years ago, but I remember ejoying it vaguely lol...I was still in a daze of culture shock at the time since we had only just recently moved out here :lmao:

Regarding the inherited hutch, if that is the only large furniture piece you want and are taking, it almost seems less expensive to just drive out there and haul it back yourselves in a small u-haul or trailer :confused3 Maybe over a long weekend?

I am not currently working but when I do it is just retail; DH works for Visa USA there in highlands ranch though! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for the kind words about my grandma. I still really miss her. My mom is having a really hard time with it too so that probably makes it worse for me. She is headed back to Tenn tomorrow to go through her things and do the will. She left me a big hutch that my grandpa made. Does anyone have any ideas about how to get it out here?

Depending on how much you need to bring out, you might want to investigate a ReloCube from http://www.upack.com . We used their trailer to move us up here. The cubes are 6'x 7' x 8' so a bit of overkill if it is just the hutch, but if there are other things...You will need to load it and unload it but they will do the driving.

Christi - Sorry about your grandma. As for the hutch call a few moving companies and ask them when their next load to Denver is. If you are not in a hurry to get it they will usually put it on a truck headed this way.

I would love a meet at WFF. We went there years ago but have not been back.

I work at an insurance broker in the Denver Tech Center, I don't do insurance though, I do safety consulting work for their clients. DH works for a credit reporting company also in the tech center.

this is what I was thinking about the hutch.

Is there a day of the week that's good for the majority of us?? I would be happy to coordinate a meet.

Where does everybody work??
I work out at the Fed Center off of 6th and Kipling. My agency is Department of the Interior, the Bureau is Bureau of Reclamation. Most people don't have a clue who Bureau of Reclamation is, but we are the ones that built and operate the Hoover Dam, grand Coulee, etc. I am in Human Resources. Our mission is bringing water and Power to the West.

My fiance worked for Coca-Cola, but they are in the process of restructuring and he lost his job on Tuesday.

Good Morning!

Today is my Friday. YAY! I do like my job but like my long weekends even better.

I work at Progressive Insurance. I am Service Resolution. When the calls escalate and the customer asks for a supervisor that is when I get the calls. I also answer technical questions for agents and our Sales managers.

What would be the best month to meet at WFF? I know June is not good for me or Heidi because of weddings. One of my daughters is getting married a couple of weeks before Heidi. But other then June I am open. Anyone want to take the lead in organizing? I will do it if no one else wants to.

For all the Colorado Springs people does anyone belong to Villa Sports? I have been concidering it.

Pooh, so sorry to hear about your fiance's job! That seems to be coming up in conversation a lot lately and it stinks! I'll be thinking about you all.

As for WFF I would have to do a weekend and we'll be at WDW the last two weeks of May, but other than that I'm good for whenever!

That stinks!!! What's he looking for in his next job? Maybe we can help network.

I shuffle papers in IT for a big bank. I work from home, and tend to love my job. :)

I am sorry about his job.:guilty:
My mom's husband works for the Feds....and I am so happy I knew what Bureau of Reclamation was before you explained it:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: . He is in HR also but with DOT.

I am happy to do the planning and the only weekend I know for sure I am not available is Mother's Day weekend. My family will be in town to celebrate Cassidy's 16th birthday and Abi's 12th...so I still may end up at the Farm:lmao: .

Before I forget (again!)....KOSI is doing a Disneyland giveaway. Check it out at kosi101.com.

Borders is also doing a contest for the kiddos.

Great Babytrees You're Awesome! Thank you so much for doing this. I am free about anytime but June.

Barb - I thought that she was getting married a week after me? When is her date? Mine is June 6th.

Thanks for the support with Chris's (my fiance) job status. He has worked for Coke for almost 9 years. He has done lots of things for them. He has driven their trucks, stocked vending machines, stocked grocery stores, was an auditor, and now is an Account Manager for convenience stores. I am not sure what he wants to do now. I know he would really like to get back in to the medical field. He grew up in FL and he was a fire fighter, EMT and loved the ER. He also thought about a government job and has applied for a Forklift Operator at the Mint. But it is really hard to get into a Federal job because you have to compete against veterans. When I find out what he wants to pursue I will let you all know and hopefully you can help us out!!

Babytrees - I am so suprised you knew what BOR is!!! Most people look at me like I made up this agency when I tell them who I work for!

Regarding WFF, Weekends work great for me too. We don't have much going on in April on the weekends. May - September, the best days for us are Sunday because my sister owns a campground down in Monument that we go and stay and help babysit the twins.

I was thinking about calling some moving companies about the hutch. With the price of gas I don't know if I could drive out rent a trailer and get it back for any cheaper. Plus I couldn't do that drive by myself anyway. I don't know, my mom is out there this week so I will see if she has any other ideas. It is a long drive though.

As far as WFF I am open weekends. I will be on a GS camping trip the weekend of APril 18-20 and I am busy the first weekend in April, but other than that I am good. DS has a birthday in May and we will have a party, but I don't have a clue when.

What's up with the weather today?:confused3 I finally get a day off and it looks icky outside. :( Maybe we should go to the movies. I know they want to go see Horton.

Horton was compelling enough that my 3 year old sat still the whole time.

Granted, the buttery popcorn probably helped with her wiggles. :)
