Colorado DISers ... where are you ?

Jrsy, that's right. I remember sitting around Cristi's table and we discussed both of them being natives. Ted was raised on Lookout.

Yeah, MyManGoofy! I need my Cuban food fix!! :rotfl: I never knew how good that stuff was.

Sandy - you are ON!

Do you know that they do not know what a smothered burrito is here? And I am not even gonna go into what they do to chili rellenos!:scared1:

ETA: Speaking of old - I can remember when Arapahoe Rd pretty much ended at I-25, ( I think there may have been a dirt road), when Broadway ended at Dry Creek and before the Eisenhower tunnel was built, when Southglenn was built it was supposed to be bigger and better than Cinderella City!

Thank you all for making me feel younger:rotfl:

My uncles and grandpa worked on building the Eisenhower tunnel. I hate going by what used to be Southglenn...it just looks pitiful. :guilty:

No smothered burritos?!?!? Tortured chile rellenos?!?!!?! The horror!!!

Remembering Cinderella City, that dates us, too!! County Line from Santa Fe east was a deserted two lane road back in the days. Look at it now.

My mom used to take me to Fantastic Nathans ( I think that was the name of it) - the kids play city in Cinderella City when I was a girl. I LOVED that place !

That's now on Broadway.

I loved Cinderella City....we still call it that when we are meeting up with people...you know the Cinderella City light rail station:rotfl: .

I am going to miss the drive in:guilty:

Is that Funtastic Fun? That place scares me. :scared1:

I just saw earth moving equipment driving around there the other day...and the screens are gone, so no reprieve this year.

yup it is Fantastic Fun....scares me too...that's why I've never been there and never plan on going there.:scared:

I figured there would be no reprieve when the Englewood City Council actually moved on the proposals...but we so don't need more EXPENSIVE living options in this area...affordable, yes, but these are supposed to be "high" end apts. :upsidedow

I didn't know they were taking away the drive in :confused3 :sad1:

Me! When we were up finding an apartment, I had to make sure to go to Archivers because we don't have them here. And one of the crazy things I am most excited about is having Hobby Lobby. There is one here in AZ and it is a 50 minute drive. I only went when I would visit one of my scrapping friends. Now I just need to check out some local scrapbook stores. One of the things I am going to miss here is that my local scrapbook store (although it's a 20 min drive) is run by the same people that run Bazzill Basics Paper. Every shade available, plus a warehouse sale once a year.

Our apartment is near 120th and Colorado.

May I recommend a new LSS? It is called Scrap and Stamp Station at 120th and Washington. It is a small store, but she keeps it pretty well stocked. She takes special orders and is willing to take suggestions for new product lines as well.

Woodbridge Station... we could probably walk to eachother's houses!!

I'm not sure about walking :upsidedow but we are pretty darn close to each other!

Wow, this thread took off. I posted a couple of days ago and just got back today and it took me pages to catch up.

One other good pizza place is Santoro's in Lone Tree. They also have great sandwiches and salads. For Mexican we like the Moose Hill Cantina on Colfax in Lakewood. It is a ways from Highlands Ranch but it is good!

MMMM Moose Hill is great. I love the Moose Milk :rolleyes1
