Visited Thorpe Park for the first time this weekend and rode the new record-breaking coaster there. Collossus, made by Intamin, has a world record 10 inversions, and was designed by the same guy who did Nemesis, Oblivion and A.I.R. at Alton Towers.
The coaster is very smooth, has some great features and is well worth making a trip to Thorpe Park for. The unique feature is a series of four heartline spins (imagine a very tight corkscrew turn) which you travel at such a slow speed that the only thing keeping you in (or near) your seat is the over-the-shoulder harness. This really gave an extra kick to a great coaster. Well worth a visit!
