College Program Alumni...where are you?

Hey everyone,

Forgive me if this is in the wrong forum. I wasn't sure if it should go in the college board since its alumni and I personally haven't seen college in a few years. Feel free to move me!

I was just wondering how many DISers out there are alumni of the disney college program. Tell us where you worked, when you worked, and where you lived (what apt. complex).

I was an Epcot attractions hostess at the Wonders of Life (cranium command and making of me) during the Fall Advantage 2002 program and I lived at Vista.

I'm a college program alum. I worked at the Disney Marketplace, now the World of Disney in DTD in the summer of 1994. I also lived in Vista and recieved my Ducktorate Management style that still hangs in my office, and everyone asks about it. Thanks for starting this thread.

Fall Advantage 2002 as well here! I was in DAK attractions, Rafiki's to be exact. I lived in Vista and miss the good old days...

OH my...I'm going to seriously age myself....I worked in the Tiki Tropic Shop (which doesn't even exist anymore) in Adventureland in Fall of 1989!! Yes, I typed '89!!! I didn't like the shop because no one ever came in it! I sold resort wear! Bathingsuits and sunglasses and the like. At noon when they came to collect the $100 that every cash drawer started out with, Tiki NEVER had the $100 to give back, because it never made any sales or money!! Seriously! Now, I started out in Pirates stores, but I asked to change because I couldn't handle the bell bottom orange/rust pants. It was the ugliest costume they had! I wanted Fantasyland where I could be all cute in frills and lace up velvet!! But I got Adventureland with the boring brown culottes and boring yellow shirt. Sigh. I lived in the real, public apartment complex right next to Vista because that Fall they had too many students. I have my Ducktorate, too. )

hi! i was fall advantage 2003 at All Star Sports F&B. i missed it so much that i'm going back down for another program, i had an extra semester before i graduate, so i figured why not go back down (and it couldn't hurt my chances of getting hired down there after graduation)

Hi all

Spring 02 Food and Beverage at Blizzard Beach (with couple months at All Star Sprots before BB opened for the season, and helped at Wide World of Sports during Braves Spring Training..... and then crossed-u into lifeguarind for a couple weeks). Lived in Chatham 19103

Then I have been a campus rep since Spring 03

The I did the CP again last fall... Fall 05 Merchandise host at World of Disney at Downtown Disney.... Lived in Chatham 23302

I am planing on going back this fall for a 3rd program, and hopefuly a Professional Internship in spring or Full-time

I was on the college program in the fall of 1993.

I worked at the Soundstage Restaurant in the Disney/MGM Studios. This restaurant is gone now, and Playhouse Disney is in its space. In 1993, the restaurant was Alladin themed. Shortly before the end of my progam, they started an Alladin character breakfast there. Imagine the Alladin soundtrack over and over again for 6 hours a day for 4 months.

I also lived at Vista Way.

Those were good times - Lucy Blues for "stein night" on Wednesdays, Fireworks Factory for cast member Thursdays. . . .

Summer - 96 - worked D-MGM parking and main entrance, still at Vista
Summer 97 - lived offsite and worked DMGM "entertainment"

while we sorta knew eachother during CP we didn't start dating until we were both out of college and my job moved me 1500miles to the city where he lived. We had sporatically kept intouch over the years through mutual friends so I contacted him when I moved and the rest is history.

I worked there Fall '05 program. I was in Quick Service Food and Beverage at the Magic Kingdom, Stands East. I miss it everyday! I'm still trying to figure out a way to get back there again before I graduate college

I did the regular CP in Fall 2002, an advanced internship in Fall 2005, and then moved to a full-time position in Casting in January of this year. I left the company in March for a better paying, more flexible position with another company here in Orlando. There are a lot of things I miss about Disney (especially my maingate!), but I haven't gone too far -- almost half of my department used to be with the company, and my immediate boss was even an Ambassador!

Hi, I did the college program spring of 2003. Lived in Chatam 6201, and worked in recreation at the All Stars Resorts.

I was there in Fall 1991 and worked as a Merchandise Hostess at Centorium (now Mouse Gears) in EPCOT. I sometimes got transferred to Robotics (in Innoventions - where a robot would spray paint your name on a t-shirt) and the Teacher's store (I forget the name) which was also in Innoventions. Lived at Vista Way and remember that the girls from Norway would always get into trouble at the hot tub with the boys from Mexico.

Nickel Beer Night at Church Street Station and Thursday nights at Fireworks Factory (mmm...Summer Sparklers...) were must-dos.
