Collect call from DS in Key West..

I mentioned before that my DS is on a sailing trip with his scout troop in The Keys and just spent the day in Key West. The biggest highlight was seeing the bridge that was in the movie "True Lies"!!!! I asked him about the town, sunset and shops..everything was "okay" But apparently not as spectacular as seeing the bridge... Go figure!!! I guess that's boys for you!

Seems to me he is enjoying the trip...Funny what kids see as cool!!

My son went on his 8th grade trip. The highlight, the ESPN club. Go figure!

Please let me know all about your DS's trip when he gets back. My scout son would love to do something like that. Did your son's whole troop go?

Pam, only kids who were 13 or over were allowed to go. Oh, and I forgot this part...he said he only had $2.00 left!!!! I said, "well that's too bad, I can't do anything about it" Which means he blew all his money in one day since they were out on the water for 5 to 6 days!!

My family and I were back there about a year and a half ago. We had an excellent vacation, did lots of things, including driving over that darn bridge. It was the highlight of our 12yr son's vacation! He saw the movie a couple of months ago at a friend's house and had to tell them he had actually seen the bridge in person. I think he gained a couple of notches on the ladder with his friends for that noteriety.
