Collect Atoms Bug! How To Skip It (Spoiler?)

II just said spoiler just not to get in trouble. But when i was on my way to the monorail i accidently went into the emporium and it jumped me past all of the atoms. I dont no why, interesting bug

So if we enter into the emporium before going to the monorail station, we can skip the atoms? Has that happened several times or just once? I am curious to know if this is really a full time bug LOL!
