Hi There-

My hubby and I are doing the Transatlantic cruise in May. People have warned us that it can get very chilly. Does Disney provide blankets for sitting outside on the deck chairs? Can you order hot chocolate from the pool bars?

Thanks-

Just ask your room host for a blanket. Wait, are you asking about out on your verandah? On the regular decks/deck chairs, I'm not sure, but I've see blankets on the pool deck (in the cabinets).

I've gotten hot chocolate in the inside bars, so I'd say "yes". But it will cost. Or you can head up to the drink station, or ask room service for it.

If the weather is cooler, DCL will provide blankets on deck chairs.

If I recall correctly, hot chocolate was available from the 24 hour drinks station, not sure about the pool bars though.

Yep, we have always had blankets for the deck chairs by the pool, even on the warmer weather cruises (for watching the movies at night). There has also always been hot chocolate at the 24-hour drink station.

Yep, on the EBTA last May they provided them all the time. They were all laid out on the pool chairs on deck and on Deck 4. They were very cozy and we certainly needed them on some days!!!

On the Northern European cruise, they had them out on the chairs as well as extra ones in the same place as the extra towels. Good thing too. It was definitely too cold for me sitting on deck even with a long-sleeved shirt but with the blanket it was comfortable.

We even needed the deck blankets on the first cruise to Hawaii. They were a godsend!

Heck a large number of us needed blankets in the Walt Disney Theater on the 2012 October Hawaii cruise. It was absolutely freezing in there for the whole cruise.

They always have blankets. The last day (and the previous night) on our Panama Canal cruise in 2015 was cold and the crew were handing out blankets at the Frozen party.

I have been warned it can get downright cold. I am bringing a lined jacket, gloves and hat...I really adore being outside on sea days
