Cold today in WDW?

I was just noticing the weather today for WDW - sunny and clear but with highs in the mid-50s and lows in the upper 30s. Reminds me of the one time we went to WDW in January 2010 and the weather was similar except some nights were in the low 30s. Bought a sweatshirt on that trip because the lightweight jacket I had brought was not enough. Luckily it was a short trip so I could get away with the one pair of pants I had brought, and some days were warm enough for shorts.

I see that the forecast is similar for this weekend and wondered how colder weather affects your touring plans? I assume that - like rainy weather - cold weather at the parks has an effect on the crowd levels.

Also, what's the coldest times you can remember being at WDW?

Somehow I remember not doing many, if any, rides that were not mostly enclosed. Splash, Kali and anything that I could possibly get wet on were totally out. Did more than the usual shopping as well, especially over at Epcot.

We were there at the same time, bought everything warm that we could find. We are from Colorado but that year at Disney was cold....did not come down prepared for those temps.

I've been there when it's been in the 30's at night, 50's daytime. Man, that was chilly.
I fly down this Sunday. I'll be taking jeans, no shorts or capris!! Mostly long sleeved shirts, a couple of short-sleeved. And two sweatshirts and a lined windbreaker!! When that sun goes down, it's really cold!!

We were at WDW at Christmas one year and it was freezing - they were covering flowerbeds. We bought some Disney sweatshirts and wandered from shop to indoor ride. Our park day was short.

December 2010- cold. In all honesty, I prefer it to the summer heat. I even rode Kali. That was pushing it though. I was kicking myself for getting wet. Otherwise, no, we just push on- we're used to cold. It's dripping with sweat I don't like.

Fleece hats and gloves while you are waiting for the morning bus or watching fireworks at night are your friends. Keeps you warm in when its cold and easy to throw in a bag when it warms up enough.

We were there MLK week 2014 and it was quite cool. Few nights in the 30s, couple highs low 50s. During the day was ok with sweatshirt, but the mornings were horrible as there was a breeze too. Worse was the days with the highs in the 60s. It was cold in the morning, but hated carrying a sweatshirt as it was too warm for it during the day. We froze until about 11.

Although I'd take that over the heat any time!

We were in Epcot and MK today. I wore my Lands End parka along with gloves and a hat. I was comfortable and felt bad for those who had sandals and thin jackets on. When the sun set, it was downright cold. As far as touring, we did everything we'd planned to do (relaxing walk around WS and FW in Epcot, Space Mtn, 7DMT in MK). However, we chose to skip Wishes as my DH finally got a little chilly (he wore shorts and a windbreaker). I'm hoping it warms up a little tomorrow and am wishing I'd packed more long sleeves and fleece!

We are here now and heading home to negative wind chills tomorrow but it was very cold for mid 50's today. Definitely hats and gloves with multiple layers.

We are having a little "cool snap". The past couple of nights have been in the mid to upper 30's but the wind makes it seem a lot cooler.
I hesitate to use the word "cold" though seeing as so many other places are in the "below range".
We will get a bit warmer tomorrow with a high of 64 and lows going into the 50's. Then the 70's for a day, then back down again.

By Tuesday next week we are looking at 76 degree highs and 60 degree lows. And by Friday and Saturday, we are going back into the high 70's again.

Bring those hoodies, hats, gloves and scarves for early morning and after the sun goes down and dress in layers. I don't think you will need much by way of shorts and tank tops though. :)

Stay warm and have fun out there!

We were there November 2014 and had days in the 50s and then 30s at night with wind chill advisories. It was not our favorite trip but we made the best of it. I drank so much of the free hot chocolate at the Christmas party I ended up with a stomachache but it was so cold that night. My avatar picture is actually from that trip and DH and I were both bundled up in sweatshirts and fleece jackets over the top and I was still a bit cold. The first 2 days we were there it was 80s and perfect and then the next few were awful between the rain and cold. It warmed back up to 80 the day we left >:(

This Friday is 90% rain and t-storms. Looks like it might be a very wet day. We will still do a park since this is one of our two days. If you had to pick one park over another for a rainy day which would it be?

TIA

Well, I'm not there now, nor have I ever been there other than summer, but...I live in northern Illinois and today it was -14, so nothing would keep me from the parks! I'd give my left arm to be there today lol

We were in the MK all day today. DH wore a thicker sweatshirt jersey and jeans, I wore jeans and a flannel hoodie. We didn't arrive until 11:30am though. We took the train to New Fantasyland. We had FP for 7 dwarfs 11:30-12:30. We then went to Philharmonic show, Small World, Had FP for Haunted Mansion for 12:50-1:50. We ate at Harbour House, did Hall of Presidents then checked out the Christmas store. We then had Pirates FP, did Jungle Cruise (no wait), Tiki Room, Country Bears and then train to front to leave. We were done by around 4:30. That's 12 rides if you count the 2 train rides in 4 hours and we never rushed or planned out anything but the FP's.

It's cooler (for Central Florida) today and tonight but as others said ... Will be back in the 70's before you know it. Supposed to be in the 60's/40's tomorrow but we are still heading to Animal tomorrow for some fun. Hoping for more smaller crowds as we have seen the past week or so here.

It was pretty chilly. We flew in yesterday and it was 0 degrees F at home, so we were happy to have it be warmer, but it was still pretty cold. Today, I wore jeans and tennis shoes with a hoodie under my north face. I was still quite chilly on rides like Everest, Big Thunder and 7DMT. Still went to all 4 parks today, and had a great time :) DS15, who claims he is never cold (wears just a hoodie in 20 degree temps at home unless I force him to wear a coat), said it was cold today.

We have been in Orlando since Sunday to house hunt and it has been cool (55-60), but sunny. We are from Minnesota and this weather is VERY preferable to the -20 at home...very amusing to see all the poor locals literally shaking and shivering from the "cold"! I do have to admit that the humidity gives me chills that I don't experience back home where winter is very dry, though.

It's dripping with sweat I don't like.
