Coffeemakers at POR?

The last time we stayed there was in 2002 & they didn't have coffeemakers in the rooms at that time. I thought I read that they now have them on one of the threads. Does anyone know if this is true? My DH & I have to have our coffee first thing when we get up & will bring our own if they don't.

Also I read that Magnolia Terrace was now closed for renovations. Is that the only building that is currently closed or is Oak Manor still closed as well? Does anyone know which buildings are non-smoking buildings in AB & MB? They have guaranteed us non-smoking rooms due to my asthma & my DD's friend who has asthma also. I would like to request a building but wanted to make sure which ones were non-smoking.

i know this may sound silly, but what kind of coffee makers are they? what kind of coffee should we bring or are the fixings already there and you just buy as you go?

We just came back from POR last weekend. The room had a 4-cup coffee maker in them. Along with the coffee makers they give you packets of coffee (enclosed in a filter), sweet n' low, sugar and stirrers. When we got into the room there was one regular coffee packet and one decaf.

I asked the mousekeeper if I could get some more and she left 4 packets of regular everyday. She was great! And there is no charge for the coffee.

If you do bring your own coffee, make sure you bring filters for a 4-cup coffee maker. And if you like creamer or something special, bring that also. The creamer packets were the powder kind and they were ok, but after the first day, we got 1/2 and 1/2 and left it in the cooler.

I don't know about the renovations. But I get a guaranteed non-smoking room and what they told me about mansions are is that Oak Manor is totally smoking and I think part of Arcadian House. If you want to stay in the mansions, Parterre Place is totally non-smoking. I also had called POR myself to ask what buildings are non-smoking. I also was told that Alligator Bayou Building 18 is totally smoking. 14 and 15 are non-smoking.

That helps a lot. We won't have to bring our coffeemaker now. It's a 4 cup also, but would rather have one less item to bring. We'll probably bring our own coffee though and we'll get half & half also as I really don't like the powder.
