Coffee Pots in DVC

Does anyone know how many cups the coffee pots are at AKL? I will need to order coffee filters. Thanks.

We were just there last week and made coffee daily. It's a Mr. Coffee 10-12 cup that uses standard coffee filters.

Some of the studios have the 4-cup Mr. Coffee style, but if you want the larger size, just call housekeeping.

However, don't be surprised if Housekeeping is all out of the large size coffee makers. DH and I had a studio recently that had a 4-cup Mr Coffee. Although we called Housekeeping, they said they were all out of any extras in that size-they did bring us a second , brand new4-cup Mr Coffee, though.

In our 15 stays in DVC rooms, I have never seen the 4 cup coffee maker. Most of our rooms were studios with a 1, 2 and 3 bedroom mixed in.

I've only seen the full-sized coffee pots as well, but I have seen both flat bottomed as well as conical filters, so we keep both just in case.

Years ago they had the 4 cup machines in the studios. They slowly phased them out probably because some bean counter decided it was cheaper/easier to just purchase the larger size coffee makers. Very rarely have I seen a 4 cup machine in recent years. It's possible that it depends on what the prices are when they place orders for replacements or do the full scale refurbs whether or not they bother to buy the smaller ones. If I wanted a coffee machine & the one provided wasn't working I'd darn sure want it replaced no matter which size they were supplying. I can't stand the Joffrey's stuff they supply so I don't use the machine anymore. Instead I just bring packets of the Starbucks Via stuff to use when I want coffee or else I drink tea or hot cocoa.
