It sounds and looks like the boys really got into Yeehaw Bob show! It's so fun to see boys who normally think they are too cool or too old to participate let loose and just have fun.
Evan is at that age where he can be very socially conscious. Or not care, you just never know. He absolutely loved it, maybe even more so than Eric. And it's funny, even though he didn't want a picture with Bob, just yesterday he was telling me that his favorite picture of himself is....the one with Goofy from last years Alaska cruise.
I'm glad to hear that the ruckus at the "quiet" pool didn't last too terribly long.
Me too. I was pretty tuckered out but it was keeping us awake and Jeff has supersonic hearing so that makes it worse!
Wow! What a really nice bus driver!!

for the pixie dust!!
It was SO nice! Really made the night. Especially after all my DOH bus moments earlier in the day.
It sounds like such a fun night! We've been tossing around staying at POR on our next trip. We'll definitely have to make a point to see Yeehaw Bob one night during our trip!
Oh you should try POR, you guys would love it!
Sounds like a great end for a great day!
It was, thanks!
Looks like a great night. We've stayed at the POR twice and had drinks at the River Roost but never during Yeehaw Bob's show. He sounds like a great entertainer. That's one of the things I love about WDW, there are so many things to do beyond the parks.
There really is, and it makes it exciting as you can never get to them "all"
I'm hoping to follow suit and really enjoy all 3 resorts were staying in.

Split stays sure look better on paper. Hope our transitions run smoothly.
They do look better on paper.

no matter what you lose time. Sometimes it works better than others just depending what you do with that time. Ours involved travel and car rentals which added a whole 'nother layer to it all. I am glad we really got to experience OKW the way we did, had it been a normal park trip I know we wouldn't have done a fraction of what we did at the actual resort and now that we have, love it that much more.
Did K get all of her work done and enjoy the Olympics while you were enjoying the show?
"All" is relative. She got a couple of chapters read and one geometry unit. Ulltimately she did get the book (and paper) done on time...but was literally working on it the night before school started! She actual had other homework, that we didn't know about on the trip, that magically crept up that weekend before school started. The weekend of course that Jeff's dad and stepmom were in town visiting and soccer had started.
Kouzzina sounds good. I'll make an ADR.

For the 22nd. I'm a little scattered.
Honestly we'd probably be able to walk in and be fine. We can make an ADR or play it by ear.
I had been catching up on my phone during yesterday's Field Hockey play day and am so glad that I was home on my PC to read your peddal boat experience -- I'd been waiting for it since E's big let down
This photo is beautiful --
Delayed gratification! He wanted to do it SO badly! I'm glad we did and he earned that milkshake!
I have not been pedal boating in a very long time. I think the last time was on our honeymoon (20 years ago!). I remember it was a lot of work

(although we at least did not tip that boat like we did the canoe!)
It is work. I do think it would be hard to tip though. Doable but might take some effort...or a slip.
You should have gotten a prize for going further than anyone had ever gone before, don't ya think? LOL That looks like an amazing river to go down--your photos are great.
we should have! A mickey bar would have been in order I think.
(Your video links didn't work - looks like your links to them are missing double quotes before & after)
it was a privacy setting issue. I've fixed them. Not that they are that great.
Sounds like a great night where everyone got to do what they wanted (well I'm sure Kendall didnt WANT to do homework, but she did get to watch Michael Phelps. and maybe Jeff was ready for a little kick back time, too?
I think he wanted a little father daughter time so it was a win win. Even if that means spending it helping with Geometry.
YeeHaw Bob looks like fun, and even Mr. Cool seems to get down a bit (like on the floor? can't wait to see what exactly that was all about!)
Up, down, all around and yep, on the floor.
What sort of cookware do they have in the villas? I'm guessing a fry pan, a sauce pan, maybe a medium sized pot? We'll be renting DVC points for our next trip & plan to use the kitchen a bit so it never hurts to plan way out (even if we have over a year to wait WAAAHHH)
as always LOVE your TR's C!
Full kitchen will include the following: dinnerware, glassware, flatware, 8 pc. cookware set, colander, casserole dishes mixing bowl set, cutting board, measuring cups, measuring spoons, cookie sheet, paring knife, cook's knife, whisk, tongs, vegetable peeler, serving spoon, serving fork, ladle, serving platter, vegetable bowls, salad serving bowl, sugar bowl, pitcher, cream server, tea kettle, pot holders
Appliances: 10 cup coffee maker (with 1 coffee starter pack: decaf and regular coffee, coffee filters, sugar and Equal packets), microwave, toaster, 1 bar mixer, blender, electric mixer, 4 burner electric stove/oven, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher. 2-sided kitchen sink has garbage disposal.
I didn't notice at OKW but Vero had a very cute salt and pepper shaker set out. I can't recall if it actually had salt and pepper in it though. LOL! I did pack coffee filters and ordered sugar, creamer and coffee with our groceries as the starter pack is only one day. I did also buy a couple of kitchen items not listed that we used later in the trip...and there will be photos of those. Overall though, anything I needed was pretty much there for the 3 meals I cooked.
