I'm sorry about Kendall's ankle... Poor girl-I hope she's ok...

Margaritaville huh? Is this a chain by any chance? (No- I didn't fall off a turnip truck ) but I swore we passed one of those in Nashville...we were only there for a short short trip but I feel like there was one...hmmm...

So, YOU"RE going to take really good pictures and notes (for your tr) at the Food and Wine Festival right....... because I am going to live vicariously through you and since going to the F&W and the Halloween party are on my bucket list... I want DETAILs about the stuff you do at the F&W... (Thank you in advance... )

I am really dying to hear about Vero Beach-Eric really wants to go there sometime...and I'm on the fence... so I'll be curious about it...(My issue is mainly about what there is to do- I'm sure its beautiful but I like to have activity options... so let's see what you do...

So much for the early arrival at Vero. Oh well. The whole car pickup thing sounds like it was a real PITA, but yeah for the upgrade.

I do remember the health club as being pretty small and I spent about 2 minutes in there because I never figured out how to turn the treadmill on, so I went outside for a run. So impatient.

Seriously. I'm sure it's not for most. We were sad that the parrots weren't out, one of my favorite pictures of the boys of all time was with those parrots!

Crazy about Kendall's ankle! You would think she'd feel something like that. But then I constantly find giant bruises on my body that I don't know where they came from.

I know, me too. She said it didn't hurt at all, so who knows. It was wierd. Evan's done something like that twice recently and had no idea. Strange children. For me it's not bleeding but definitely I"m with you on the bruise thing!

Considering the shape I'm in this probably won't come as a surprise but, I don't understand excercising on vacation. Esp. somewhere like WDW where you walki 13 miles a day. Perhaps, this theory is the reason my behind is in a seperate hemisphere from my top half?

Well it wasn't a park trip so we weren't walking 13 miles a day.

Great update but poor Kendall....hope her ankle injury doesn't cause any issues with the rest of the trip!

Could you explain a bit more about the gift cards you use and why? I seem to remember in your pre-trip report you commenting about picking up a few more. Do you use them just for budgeting purposes or are there other benefits too?

Safeway is giving 4x points on gift card purchases so it helps get the gas costs down and lets me budget ahead of time. The only bummer is that you can't use a gift card to pay for a gift card and I would like to have one of the F&W wristlet cards but in the interest of cheaper gas, I will live!

So true, they take turns getting injured, being high maintenance, school issues...backtalking...

I used to joke we would have 2 "good" kids and 2 "pull your hair out" ones at any given moment, it just rotated who was what.

It is a chain and they are in some random locales. I think there is one in Nashville.

I've only been to two of them, Key West and Orlando but we love it! Special spot in our hearts for the one in Key West. Some of the locations seem pretty odd to me but then again, if there was one here, we'd probably move in.

It was so bizarre! Lucky that we were right next to the first aid but wow, it took awhile.

Great update. We love Margaritaville too. I posted some pics on FB of our last visit there when we took the girls to Vegas to see 1D.Their skinny girl margarita isn't half bad. I didn't know you we're a parrot head. Love us some Jimmy.

OMG I was SO bad last night for this trip. Ordered all kinds of stuff I didn't really need. A new sundress, a park bag, new wallet, and 2 new tops. Ok the tops I just needed anyway and really they will be for the plane if they work out but still. BAD! We will see on the bag and wallet. I have stuff to use that I like...but it didn't match a lot of the stuff I'm planninng on bringing so thought I needed something that did. pathetic huh.

Ordered the last costume item today... Now I just need to hit the craft store for the rest of the supplies.

I blame Heidi, Amy and Julie for this....I felt lame after reading about their costumes.

I wasn't expecting us to be early, but it was a good 2 hours later than I'd thought it would be which was a bit of a bummer. No regrets though, the workout felt really good, as did the walk and I wouldn't have wanted to 1) get up earlier or 2) give up either of those things. So it was all good.

They were SO filling and they gave us SO many! It's a small upcharge over the fries, both Evan and I had them and we really should have done just one and shared...since Jeff always eats up any leftover fries. I don't think we finished them all which I always feel guilty about.

Poor Kendall.

I think she was as much embarrassed as anything. NO idea how it had happened, didn't hurt, odd all around. Then again she has a pretty high pain tolerance.

LOL! That's funny. Their ellipticals were nice and they did have a good small weight and machine selection, really everything I needed. No room to stretch though which was frustrating.

I got ID'd for the longest time...sad that those days are over. I love Key West. We'd retire there if it weren't for the whole hurricane thing.

Now that they have the Lone Palm outside, you can just have a drink over there...they do a great daily happy hour! Heck by the time we left it probably was happy hour.

Too true. The nice thing is that except for the cruise, we never really unpacked fully so that helped make the packing back up a bit less painful. The only thing that took a little time on this one was figuring out the food.

Didn't remember seeing the skinny girl version but...if I'm going to have a margarita, I'll do it right. That said, we just got their classic and normally we'd go for a Cadillac but...were being cheap. Yep, parrot heads. He's actually coming here next month, we were looking at tickets last night but it's a bit pricey for what we think it should be. I know he's got a loyal following but it's a huge venue and the prices for crummy seats were just more than we were willing to pay.

Late, but joining in. We will be staying at Vero next summer, so I look forward to previewing it in your pictures.

I'd be lost without it. Mildly annoyed though as for whatever reason one of the changes I entered isn't updating on my calendar that I have synched with it. Not a biggie as it shows correctly in tripit itself but I like having things correct and for Jeff to be able to have an idea where I am while gone.

I subscribe to the rotation philosophy, I bring several pairs and wear at least 2 per day, really helps avoid hot spots and issues. The question is...how many will I bring this trip?

That looks like the quiet pool by our building at OKW last (what building were you in again?). When we were there it said the quiet pool closed at 11 p.m.

That is so odd about Kendall's ankle. Lunch looks yummy. We walked by Margaritville while we were waiting for our Emeril's ressie; we've never eaten there before (or Cheeseburger Paradise which is like 30 minutes from our house).
