Codes---What do you do when you have a package?

Hey, I'm a newbie and this is my first post. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and have learned so much!! Thanks everyone for the great information. Wished I had found the site before I made my reservations with WDW. Here's my situation that I hope someone can help with....I booked a 5day/4night MYW package with dining for Apr 23-27th. I do not have the trip insurance...my CM never mentioned it so I didn't know. I've paid for my stay at the WL in full. So if there are codes released for the end of April...is there any way I can save money or upgrade to the Poly.? I'm thinking the only way will be to cancel my package with a $200.00 charge and rebook. I don't know if it will save any money which is what I want to do. Also have checked about pin number assigned to me. The CM told me I had one in 2001, but it has expired. Also, I think tomorrow is 45 days until my visit. Hoping someone can help me sort through this...I'm so confused!!

Sometimes package discounts are offered at the same time as room only discounts - you just call and see if they can apply the discount, no need to cancel and rebook.

Thanks ILOVEWDW2003 for your post. I haven't read that much about package discounts. I'll keep my eyes open and keep calling. Can hardly wait till our trip!
