Codes For After July 3, 2003!! POST INFO HERE!

Just got off the phone with CRO, 11:00am EDT

When I inquired if any new codes were out today, cast member told me that the best place to find any codes will be on the little savings box on the website. That way I could save a call.

Learning from the savvy DISers on this board that that would not be the most prudent way to find codes, I decided to dig some more. I told her that the internet boards were discussing a marketing meeting that was being held this morning, and that some CRO people had told customers to keep calling back and that something good was going to happen this week.

Cast member: giggling
"Wow, all kinds of 'secret' info is leaking out. giggling some more...I can tell you that no codes have "downloaded" into the system 'yet'. (giggle) We are not booking anything right 'now', but yes (giggle), do keep calling back." (I particularly picked up on the word "leaked")

With all the giggling and the inflections in her voice, I think she was trying to let us know that yes, the codes were coming out and keep calling. Seems the same message others were getting.

Guess we have to keep calling.

Question about an ealrier poist that said these new codes would be released earlier for Disney Club members,.
Do they still have Disney Club? Would it be worht joining now to maybe gte on the codes ealrier?
Do codes ever "sell out" (not sure how to phrase it, but are there only so many rooms avaliable at these code prices?)
Thanks for any info.

The Disney Clue is closed. You had to join before December 12.
I renewed mine at a pro-rated cost.

Yes, codes sell out.

I called the Disney Club and they acted like they did not have any clue.

Wow. I feel like I am hoping to win the lotto here. :) This is maddening!

I am constantly checking the Disney Club website and so far nothing. Another addiction I hope will soon pass. If I see anything I will let you know.

This whole 7 nights for 4 just sounds too good to be true.

something isn't adding up to me.....

Why would Disney offer the savings to the Disney Club first? I thought the big push was for this Disney Visa...it would stand to reason in "my" mind that WDW would offer the savings to the Visa cardholders before the Disney Club. Am I terribly off base on this line of thinking?

It makes no difference to me--I have the DIsney Club (boy am I glad I renewed :) ) and the Visa....

I am still hoping for some sort of room only deal, I really don't care for the UPH and I am interested in a split stay.

Maybe they are releasing these packages through the Disney Club because too many people don't "qualify" for the Disney Visa:confused: or maybe a good number chose not to apply. I am just speculating here that the Disney Visa has not been as successful as anticipated.

I don't see anything listed on the Disney Club website, but on the Disney Visa website, they do have a WDW package that is good from 6/15 - 7/3 (at a certain savings) and then from 7/4 - 8/23 (at a different savings). I'm not sure if the package price is anything special, but at least the date goes out to August 23rd. The package must be booked by June 14, 2003.

I just read on another discussion board (intercot.com) that next week they are releasing a new package called Fairytale Package that would consist of buying 4 nites plus UPH and getting 3 nites free. Offer from 07/04-10/30. I do not know the validity of this claim.

I hope they have somthing for AP holders! These pkg deals dont do a thing for me. Unless I would save 700$ on the room. I dont think that is going to happen.

Last time I called and said somthing about the message boards to a CM she sounded like I was crazy!
She said She hoped I dont put to much stock in them, and she doesnt have anything or know anything about new codes or APs past 7/3.
Im beginning to think Disney is playing with us. Kinda like a cat with a mouse.:p

Call me jaded and cynical but I think this "fairytale" package is just that - a fairytale. I just find this rumor of of 7 nights for the price of 4 a little hard to believe BUT I hope it's true. The wait is killing me.

The 7 nights for the price of 4 works out to about the same if we booked a concierge room at AKL.

We booked a suite which are never discounted and only need park tickets for 2 days.

I'm going to see what they offer but in our case it doesn't work out.

Has anyone else done the math? Doesn't it work out to about the same as an AP discount or some of the recent code discounts we have seen?

i don't think that it is that unlikely...the rates would be very similar to the room only codes that have been offered..

for example POR rack rate of $160/night x 4 = 640
code offered previously for POR of $89/night x 7 = 623

It just sounds really great and they get you there for 7 nights instead of letting you choose how long etc etc

Anyway I hope that it is true and that it is for all resorts...I still feel there will be a catch of some type....waiting and waiting and waiting....

Just called CRO (12:30pm EDT)

Asked flat out if the new codes were out, heard about the marketing meeting, etc, etc.

This CRO lady was very blunt. Yes, there is a marketing campaign. Yes there will be codes. It is to be released May 11th in the Sunday papers. She also told me that the codes will be booked through the website. She said to keep checking the website.

She would not reveal what the marketing campaign was. But did tell me it absolutely, positively was coming out and was starting on May 11. All details to be posted on website soon.

Goofy!

The website you are talking about, is that the Disney.com web site.? Would we have to make new reservations? Reason being if you have made them thru CRO you can't access them on the website. And i am sure most people make them over the phone.
Just curious?

:) LOL, I called to add a night to an existing reservation. I needed to do that anyway, so I figured now was as good a time as any. The agent at WDTC told me that the marketing would be well in place by the time the Sunday paper comes out. That tells me that the information would be in their systems a day or two before that. I did ask specifically about the next day or two and she didn't really think it wouldn't be that soon.

We'll see.....I just hope this deal lives up to our expectations, but doesn't make things too crowded in my pleasant October :)

www.disneyworld.com is the website I assume that the Disney agents are referring to. I have seen codes there in the past. Hope that helps!

Sorry, Phillydisnynut. I guess I wasn't very clear.

What the CRO cast member told me is basically what Madge was told. The 'official start" of the campaign is May 11. That is when print and media ads start.

What I meant to say with the website posting is that CRO said all info on the campaign would be posted shortly on the website and that the codes would / could be booked there. Guess we will just have to wait and see.
