Hi,

Still in the planning stages for trip next fall. Just curious if AP rates/codes ever apply to 'better' rooms such as those on concierge level or for suites? Are codes generally for regular view rooms? What rate did you get for concierge using code/AP?

Just trying to price it out using current code rates to see if it might be better for us to go with concierge and eat our breakfast and snacks from their offerings rather than spend $30+ every day...

Thanks!

You might check out MouseSavers.com. Mary has a list of what the current rates are. It might help you figure out expenses for next fall. My recommendation is to add 10% to you discounted figure at the most expensive room you would like to have, then you should have a pretty good budget.

We have stayed at the AKL concierge twice on Annual Pass rates and will stay Poly concierge in December on a discounted rate.

The only way I know to get a discount on a suite is to book though DisSavers. We have not done that because we know we change our plans (minds) too much.

Good luck!

Lori

You can usually get a discount on a concierge room, but not a suite. Expect to pay at least $60 more per night for a concierge room than a standard room at a resort which offers concierge service.

Yes, there *are* sometimes discts on concierge rooms - I got one for December for Sugar Loaf concierge at the Grand Floridian. Suites? No, most unfortunately not! LOL I sure wish there were though!

I like your thinking...going concierge, saving $ on food. We were thinking the same way. We stayed at the AKL concierge. We ate only 2 breakfasts while we were there (9 days), both were character breakfasts. We figured we saved $50 a day on breakfast alone and probably another $25 a day on snack foods we never bought because we ate in the lounge and even more on beverages.

Now, don't get me wrong, we don't believe that by staying concierge we actually save money but it's nice to get all that "free" food and great service to boot.

We've decided that we will be staying concierge whenever we go back to WDW. That just means we have to put in a little more overtime to afford it.

Maybe this is a recent change, but we received an AP rate on a suite @ the WL a few years ago. The room normally went for $790/night, and we got it for around $410/night.
