Does anyone know when this comes out to the public? I'm going to make a payment on my card which I could have done yesterday if I had known so we have some hope for tomorrow I'm really upset. My husband has been sick for the past year and this really ruined my day.

Once you have a "VISA" reservation on MDE you can go to change reservation and possibly look at other options. Very interesting development there...

EDIT: some people do not have this option so YMMV

Ok we got nothing. In fact my TA said we would have to change rooms and mine would go up. This just doesn't make sense. I have used this discount before. We are 5 staying in a stbadard CBR room. Even upgrading to a preferred we should still save something. I have asked her to call again, maybe she got a bad rep.

Awww, thanks. We have been talking quite a bit. LOL. I am very disappointed and confused. This is our 4th trip at the same time and we always get the discount. I am holding hope that some courtesy packages are the cause and will drop off in a few weeks. Or maybe something better will hit with the public release.

You pretty much won't know until you call. I have a standard and they will lot apply the discount which has never happened before.

You've inspired me to do math. My room is approximately $500/night at a deluxe. The CM told me that changing rooms to a "pool view" (not club) would make my price go UP $100, with the discount, so that's $33/night for my 3-night stay. $533 a night, assuming a 25% discount, is $710/night sans discount.

That's NOT the listing price online.

The CM told me that changing rooms to a "pool view" (not club) would make my price go UP $100, with the discount, so that's $33/night for my 3-night stay. $533 a night, assuming a 25% discount, is $710/night sans discount.

This is really disheartening.

I'm kvetching at this point, but a big reason I'm staying on property is the ease of using the Magic Express to bring my friends in from the airport, at different times. Using an AirBnB and paying for their taxis is starting to become an option.

I'm keeping what I have booked for BC through my TA as well. I don't have high expectations for a good AP discount for Beach Club for the Princess Half Marathon weekend. They are only offering 10% off to visa and the general public which means it'll be the same or maybe 15% off for AP & FL residents.

So we have CBR booked, but if we booked with room only, the Disney rep said we would have to book an upgraded room, but with the discount, we are really not saving.
Fingers crossed the public release will throw in a free dining since we are already booked. I doubt it, but I'm not sure what's going on this year.

I can't get that to work. It's telling me that offer isn't available.

I did call this morning, only waiting for 10 minutes or so. My room category (preferred) wasn't available. I was going to save about $500 if I switched categories, but I checked to see whether I was really saving with the discount or because I changed room categories. The real savings was only $200, but that was garden view, which I didn't want. So...not great this year! In the last couple of years, I've actually been able to upgrade and still save. Not this year!
