Interested in Sat before Thanksgiving to day after, what are the odds of a code?

Only if you get AAA rates can I picture a discount being given for a holiday week.

We normally travel during that week, most recently in 2005 and 2006 during that week... and we have always gotten the 40% code with the disney visa code.

When we go it is usually that wed before thanksgiving until the wed or thursday after.

We have a Disney Visa. When did you get the code? Should I book now to make sure I have the room and then apply the code later? I could definitely be flexible on dates. Do you happen to remember the details?

The disney visa codes have typically come out in August/Sept for holders, and then become public a week or so later for the general public.

We never booked a room prior to planning in August or Sept... and were able to get a room fine... I don't want to tell you that and then you can't... I am sure there are lots of variables. I can't imagine it will be sold out, but the code doesn't always work for every resort either... say you want to stay at FQ, it might not be available with the code but R or CBR will be.

In 2005 and 2006 we planned out trips as soon as the code became available. In 2007 we did the same thing, but we opted to go in mid Dec... this is the first year that we are booking now for Dec 08! It is so early! But a good code came out- have to use it!

You can always book a room to have it, and then call and apply the code to it or change it to package, etc as you see discounts becoming available. just be flexible in that you may need to switch resorts for availablity.

It was 40% both years. I am sure there are others who rec'd the same thing...

Maybe 2005 wasn’t Disney visa—I was thinking it was…
travel date: 10/23/05-12/25/05 package discounts for general public became available: 9/29/05, exp 10/22/05

2006 – was Disney visa it was 40% off looks like it becomes available to general public 3 days after…
travel date: 10/1/06-12/23/06 package discounts for Disney Rewards Visa cardholders became available:8/14/06, exp 9/30/06

2007 – was Disney visa it was 40% off looks like it becomes available to general public 3 days after… While I didn’t use it for Thanksgiving, my trip was originally booked for thanksgiving in 2007, and then we switched it to mid Dec due to schedules… but it was 40% at thanksgiving and 40% off at mid dec… just different pricing since one was value rate.

It is not a for sure thing that it will happen again this year like this... but history seems to show that it is a good chance!
