I'm working on proper 'dictionary' style pronunciations and definitions for the words, so I'll be sure to post those here when complete! If nothing else, perhaps through this process I can manage to set the english language back a couple of centuries!

Oh here's a sneak peek for you DISers.

In one of my answers I coined another new word: Exhilagrativigoration They asked if we were nervous about the process - and I responded that more than nervousness, I was feeling a sense of exhilaration, invigoration, and a profound gratitude for all of my friends and family. THUS, I'm currently feeling a strong wave of "exhilagrativigoration"

:)

Sneak peeks--always a good thing! :hyper: And I like the new word--fits you well! :goodvibes

Oh here's a sneak peek for you DISers. As you probably read earlier in this thread, we were emailed a couple of questions and were asked to submit a photo so that CareerBuilder.com/Disney could update our sites. It keeps things interesting and hopefully encourages people to keep checking in. Well, they should post those additions some time this weekend.

You know Justin, you just answered my question and I didn't even ask it!!!

In reading through the upcoming requirements, I was thinking it would be exciting, overwhelming, fear inducing, bla bla bla.......with a fair amount of "what have I done here and how am I ever going to win this thing?!" :confused3

I wish you good luck and I truly appreciate your honesty through this process!!! :cheer2:

As others have said that they threw their video together quickly, you didn't, and it shows!!! As a fellow applicant who spent WAY TOO MUCH OF HER TIME on a losing entry, I really appreciate time you spent on a WINNING ONE!!! :thumbsup2

Great! So what does that make our running total? I think we are pretty close to all 10, right?

I'm hoping so, by either live participation or having emailed their answers in. Amy Kate emailed them to me and I forwarded them to Fleagle.

I don't know the whole list. I know that Kenny said at one point he'd never been able to find Tangela or Jennifer (? I think). But even if we get 7 or 8 that should make for a pretty fun, spirited, Disney fan-filled evening!

It took a while, but I've been in contact with all the 10.

I needed a break from doing taxes. Ugh!!! and this is the perfect "Happy Place" to go. It's hard keeping up on everything but I read some great posts.

I can't believe all the snow some of you have - if I could get the picture up, I'd show you our crocuses and daffodils popping out. But I love snow, we get so little of it.

CalDisney, thank you so much for posting the "Suite" pictures. We watched as Dream winners were escorted up for their stay last month. You are sooo lucky to get the tour and very nice to share. It's grander than I'd imagined.

FirstTimeCaller - You're not far away. Come on over for an Autopia car ride. Were you one of the lucky winners last year from Washington? Both David and I entered but got nowhere (and WE thought we were really good.)

Justin - Exhilagrativigoration couldn't describe it better!! (Did I spell it right?)

After reading about Kate's plans to campaign on Sunset Blvd in costume, I think we'll have to get David out on the streets in his little car handing out campaign flyers (I can't quite see it but you'll hear about it if he does).

Back to the taxes .... Waaaaaa

What a FUN idea! You guys should absolutely go for it!!! :car: What dream job/jobs did you 2 try for last year?

Oh, so YOU'RE the one that took all my snow! :rotfl2:

Let me tell you, YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL!!!
After shovelling the driveway twice ysterday and once today with another few inches coming, im quite sick of it.
I do have pity for certain areas that have been hit worse than us.
Going down to -13C/8F tonight.
Oh to be at the "SPONSERS" right now, at 62F.

OHHH NOOOOO!
Taken from the same spot.
This was taken a few hours ago.
Been out for another shovelfest and am just heading out for another.
Still snowing like this.
You can still have it all KTP.

You may certainly have some pins....just pm me an address to mail them to and we'll get them out Monday.

Also, to fully understand the importance of the pin (because it isn't really a hot collectors item) you should go to Eric's website...look around and be sure to read his blog. EricKidwell.net

Eric (Fleagle) had made the top 20 but unfortunately didn't advance to the top 10. Admittedly we were disappointed, but also a bit surprised. Oh well. In any event, Eric had to make a plan assuming he DID make the top 10 because he took this contest very seriously and wanted to be ready with a bang come time for the big top 10 announcement. That's where the pins come in.

Anyway, if you have time go to his website or if you're up for a novel then you can refer back to the old thread. Wow, fun times! That's where it all began. Eric has a link to that on his site. Sorry, I don't know how to link you there from here....

Don't forget to pm me with an address and I'd be happy to get you some! They really did turn out great!

-Amy (Mrs. Fleagle)

Will PM you shortly Fleagle's!:cool1: :thumbsup2 :cool1:
My wife is now totally excited!
To quote someone else on the Dis...
"If she was a puppy....she'd piddle."
Thanking you in advance and pixie dust to all the top 10
3G&G

PS sorry for all the bummer snow pictures, just makes it all the better to think of........
...that place....you know.....the "SPONSER".

Hey, Andy -- in case you read this -- I just saw your animation work tonight when I went to the movie theater!! Really!

So we went to watch National Treasure 2 and before the movie starts they did a animation short with Goofy called how to install your home theater system or something like that...and in the intro it was a picture of Goofy's face with the yellow stripe background that cascades out from Goofy's head.

Well, I say to my DH -- hey, that's Andimator's work! Disney stole that from him!! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

OK, so I do know that you didn't create it but still ... due to your avatar on DIS, I finally made the connection!

I'll send a PM to you on how to post pictures from photobucket to Disboards, that should help (that assumes you know how to take the photos from your camera and upload to your computer...)

haha!! i love it!! the question is, will my dad be able to upload to his computer and email the pictures? so far, the answer is no. i guess he didn't get a chance to get to his email today. i'll have to send a photo tomorrow...

thanks for the info, though! it will DEFINITELY help me out when i have the pictures!!

if i'm quiet the rest of the night, it's not because i don't want to be here. our washing machine broke in the middle of laundry time, so i'm going to have to take care of that load "pioneer style" in the bathtub.

i'm looking forward to tomorrow's disbate :) justin--i LOVED your new word :) very fun :)

love,
meggin

I tried out for Haunted Mansion (youtube.com/user/victoriabarrier) and David for River Boat Skipper (can't find his). When do they let me post URLs here?

Vickie

I believe the magic number on the DISboards is 10. (Ten posts before you can post URLs or send PMs...) Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong!

Wow this thread moves fast! :yay: Sorry for leaving you hanging there, Disgeeks (LOVE the Andimated avatar by the way)! I was alone with my 3 little ones in Florida when my daughter, Ella, fell and cut her leg on a broken tile in the pool. She was a trooper, though, and the first words out of her mouth in the ambulance were, "This is gonna make a really good show and tell." :rotfl: Now Daddy-O is back in the states and I'm finally able to catch up on this thread. :cloud9: It's great to be back! :goodvibes

Meggin, as I'm catching up here...I have to tell you that I have especially enjoyed reading your posts! :flower3: It's evident that you are a ton of FUN! I appreciate how you just put some stuff out there and you have inspired me to do the same.

Until this contest, I had never been in on online community before! Someone really sweet (who could that be? pirate: ) contacted me to find out if I was in the top 20 and that's how I found this group. I felt a little nervous :scared: posting at first...but the excitement to talk to others in CMO MODE quickly prevailed. I read page after page (96 pages in one night to be exact) and I soon felt as if I had known everyone forever (but I hadn't even posted yet)! Then came the "I can tell everyone is really wonderful here, but I still feel a little akward about some of the posts I've read" factor. I pondered whether I should jump in explaining that I've never done animation in my life (but taught myself specifically for this contest) and that although the contest rules prohibit music...that's for copyright and royalty issues...not some goofball like me who's singing acapella!

Long story short (yes, I too am having trouble with the written assignments of 75 words of less :rotfl2: ) - the people who have been DIS'ers for a long time are absolutely incredible at welcoming others "to the party" and the newbies are incredible for jumping in...no matter how nervous they were to do so. I think that means we're all incredible!!!!!

SOOOOO excited for the great DISbate tomorrow (I almost tried to show up tonight)! I have a few questions that I'm sure have already been covered, but I can't seem to find them in the thread:

1. 9pm in what time zone on "spring forward" day? Hee hee!
2. Questions received prior to DISbate or received live?
3. This thread or another? If another, how do we get there?

Looking forward to it!

I'm sure Fleagle or Mrs. will respond later today but I just saw this so thought I'd answer.

1. 9pm EDT
2. People have submitted questions to Fleagle in advance to use
3. This is the thread. The DIS moderators want us to keep all CMO talk in this thread. If/when we reach the page limit for long threads (approx 250 pages), then someone can start a new one.

This is actually Fleagle here, on Mrs. Fleagle's computer. She had the thread up, so I thought I'd answer... (sorry I've not been on much, I have a terrible cold)

1. 9PM EST
2. Questions received live-ish. I'll post a new question every 5 minutes or so... you can just quote the question in your response so if we've gone to the next question you can still get your answer in
3. This thread.

Remember, the first question will be for you to post your opening statement... so you can prepare that in advance.

EDIT: Thanks Marshay!
