CM in reservations having a bad day?

oh my...I just got off the phone with reservations and I dont think the girl was having a nice day at all. I decided to call and very nicely ask if I had a pin attached to my name or if there were any special deals on for August 19th to 25th. heres the convo...

Me: Hi I was wondering if you might have any signs of room only discounts yet for august...
CM : No
Me: oh ok...could you possible check for me then if I might have a pin attached to my name?
CM: hold on I will check
CM: No
Me: sooo should I just wait till later and call back to check or check the disney site?
CM: yes
Me: ok well thank you....
CM: ok bye



is it me or dont they usually tell you to have a wonderful day??? hahhahaa Im not upset at this call in any way...we all have our off days..I guess this poor girl was having one. She just seemed very dry with me..not at all Disney like..oh well..cest la vie!
 
Wow.. at that point, I would of politely asked for her supervisor :surfweb: very UN-disney like..
 
What I wanna know is ... didja get/do the survey at the end?
 

They usually give you an option to take a survey at the end. That's when you let them know your CM wasn't so nice.

I had the most wonderful CM last week when booking my FD vacation. I gave her the highest marks I could give her. Too bad I can't remember her name for anything :sad2:
 
I would say they have probably been bombarded by calls since FD was offered.

I know there have been threads of people saying they have already changed their FD reservation two to three times and are considering changing it again and wanting advice if they should do it.

I am sure a lot of people are having the CM's run costs of multiple levels of resorts, etc. instead of doing it first on the website.

I know I would be at the end of my rope by then.

Before I got on the disboards, I didn't even know what discounts were..... now I check the boards and if I am looking for random information (not actually booking the package or snagging the discount), I try to call back when they aren't running such a discount.

I had almost the exact same conversation with a female CM 2 days ago! She said: "Any time we give a PIN Code it will be emailed to you" in a slightly annoyed voice. I said "oh, it will always be emailed?" and she said "Yes". I didn't do the survey, and I certainly understand that they are inundated with these calls. I just feel better after seeing that it happened to someone else (misery loves company.....is that wrong?) because it was making me afraid to call again!:rotfl:
 
We haven't gone to Disney since 2009 and this year I have encountered my quite a few rude CMs. We have 3 rooms reserved and had to change the dates once and then add a Pin Code I recd to rooms another time. Now, we are switched to Free Dining, but when I called to add a 30% off room PIN code I recd, the CM quoted me over $250 higher than online. When I questioned her, she told me she would just cancel my reservations and I could do it myself online then! I hung up and had to calm down and called back and got a really nice male CM. I told him what happened and he said to always take the survey at the end. He said if I knew her name they could try and find the call. I didn't write it down though. However, the last time I called with a problem I was having online with our reservations and payment I had the nicest and sweetest CM. She even fixed the glitch that kept changing our dates. I made sure I took the survey and gave her a great review!

If you book thru AAA (MYW package) then call a CM and find you have a pin, my understanding is that you can't get it applied directly. Would I ask the CM for the pin code so I could give it to my AAA travel agent?
 
I always, always stay on the line and do the surveys ... great CM, mediocre CM, bad CM ... and I give marks accordingly. Surveys are an important part of my DH's job, so I make sure I do one for others when it is offered. I just wish they had a portion where you could record comments - especially for the really fantastic CMs that go above and beyond. :thumbsup2

haha yes..misery does love company, glad it wasnt just me, possibly it was the same lady! I feel much better now too..next time I call back I will be ready for her if its her again..hehe:thumbsup2
 
I had a rude CM not that long ago myself, and if it didn't take 15 minutes to get through to one I would have hung up and called back. :laughing:

I called because I had a pin emailed to me, there clearly was a discount code there, but I swear it didn't say what the discount was for. I called with the code and she said it should say on it what it was. Duh! That's why I am calling. Her tone is what bothered me. It was so non magical. It was almost like she was saying that I was stupid or something. I have been getting codes for ever, I know what to look for.:headache:

I asked her to look. She came back to me and she said "it's probably 15% off of your room", like she didn't know for sure. :rolleyes: I should have called back to have someone else check it but I haven't yet.
