CM forgot to give me free dining!

After being on hold forever this morning, I got the nicest CM. She took all my info and I told her I wanted to book the free dining package. She even noted that I had received the free dining the last 2 years so I would know how everything worked and to remember to go ahead and make my ADR's.

I asked for WL standard view for and she said it was unavailable so she booked me woods view. The price she quoted me seemed high but I didn't know offhand the difference in price between woods and standard. By that time my kids were up and wanting breakfast (those darn kids, always needing something ) so I just wanted to get off the phone. I just checked online and the price she quoted me is with paid DDP. She never asked for a code but it was clear from our conversation that I was wanting the free dining. Oh well, I am currently on hold again.

So everyone, check your prices!

That stinks! Sorry you have to wait all over again. I also said I wanted free dinning, and my CM asked for a code. I told her I'd be happy to look it up, I didn't know it. She said not to worry about it and booked it anyway. Good Luck!

When my CM (who was very nice by the way) gave me the final price, it seemed high. He knew I was asking for free dining and when I questioned him about the price. He said "Oh, I forgot to put in the code for free dining." He then added the code (didn't ask me for it) and we waited a few minutes while it updated the reservation. He then gave me a price several hundred dollars less than the first price.

All is well. Coronado Springs Preferred Room September 18-22 with Free Dining.

Frequently the online confirmation doesn't make any mention of free dining.

Well I ended up cancelling. I am really disappointed. The 2nd CM tried to add free dining but it was only available at concierge level. I had her check AKL and nothing available there at all. She put me on hold while she talked with guest services. Apparently guest services said at the time I called and made my initial ressie that what I wanted was not available and that is why the CM charged me for DDP. So I got a ton of apologies but no room.

FWIW, I haven't seen ANYBODY say they booked standard view at WL.. even among the Disney card bookings. Most of the WL bookings I've seen noted here on the boards were Woods view or better.

Well, I got my free dining but I had to change resorts. It wasnt a big deal since it was a value to another value. Pop to ASM. Saved my family $408.00. This was incredibly stressful and delightful at the same time. I had the same thing happen to me about my CM not entering my code. When she quoted my new price it was the same as before, she said hold on and came back with my new balance due. Which is $408.00 less than what I owed before. Awesome deal!!

Yeah I had seen the other posts where it looked like no one had received standard view so I wasn't surprised when I had to book woods view. According to the 2nd CM's conversation with guest servies, only concierge was available.

I'm mad at myself for not questioning the price the first time, but also mad at the 1st CM for getting my hopes up. Oh well, we've done free dining the last 2 years plus just came back from a trip last month so I can't be too upset. Plus I'm pretty sure the last 2 years I booked free dining over a month after it came out and was able to get what I wanted. So I'm not giving up yet.

One tip would be to check on the dates that are 14 days after Monday 4/9 and then again 14 days after today.. 4/12... anybody who didn't make their reservation deposit by then... their reservations will cancel and their rooms will be free.

Well now that I've thought about it, I feel screwed. The CM definitely told me no standard view is available with free dining but woods view is available with free dining. Oh well.

The FW Cabins are available for some dates. And Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has very reasonable prices on studios for selected dates!

I had the same problem when I used the 40% off code. There were no standards available with that code either. In September I have always received a complimentary upgrade from standard to Woods so this year I guess I'll be paying for it......maybe get bumped up to Courtyard!!

My online ressies are n't showing free dining yet either. I know she put it on there, she said it 100 times! I am sure all is well. It really dosn't say anything about the package except for the park tickets.

This seems to be the general consensus. I modified an existing reservation on Monday morning for the Visa free dining and it's STILL not showing online. I've called twice (obsessive) and both times they've reassured me that I have the free dining. As the week has drawn on, more and more people seem to be posting the same situation as my own, so I'm feeling better about it now!

I had an existing ressie for a Grand Gathering - Called Mon AM to change the already included dining to free dining. When I checked online on Tues the price difference WAS reflected on both reservations! So I'm thinking ressies SHOULD be updated online by the next day, and if not, maybe better to check by phone.

The pricing change will be reflected -- but the words FREE DINING won't appear.

I just want to confirm with everyone that they are seeing the same as me for their on-line reservation confirmation...

Mine doesn't mention dining at all (never mind free). It just lists our hotel, magical express and park hoppers. Just confirming this is typical? My reservation starts with a K which I read somewhere supposedly is for the free dining packages (ones booked Monday and after).

Is this what everyone has??
