Wait, is this the "Villains Show" that's been rumored for a while now? Or is this something else because previously it was assumed that would be a regular show not an up charge.

Yes this is what was thought to be the villains show.

It's a shame that this is being added as an upcharge event to a park that really needs more for the average guest to do.
Disney loves their up charge events tho, they have to milk as much as they can.

Hmmm...that's a pretty high price point, but remember that Lion King theater show last summer was running around $200 a piece.

Personally I wouldn't do it. However, IF it includes alcoholic drinks (and that's what it sounds like) and "Hillarious Stage-show numbers" I could almost see it being worth it. If they give you a real long time (say 3 hours) and the crowds are somewhat limited, then maybe it will be worth it.

A little added research makes it look like it will be Saturday nights only. Starts at 7:45 PM and only one "showing" per night so that's good. However, doesn't say how late it goes. On some nights, the show start time is actually after park closing. (January 23rd the park closes at 7 PM, show start is listed at 7:45 PM.) Again that makes me question how long it lasts and how rushed it will be. (If they only give you 90 minutes for that price, they'll be a lot of unhappy customers.)

Also mentions "Banquet seating" - which tends to make me think it is buffet style eating with a stage show and dance floor.

Doesn't specify that it is adults only, but do mention "alcohol only served to 21 and older" of course, and there is only one price - no kids rate.

Another piece of information missing from the "Inside the Magic" site:
Dance the night terrors away with Dr. Facilier and his evil-diva cohosts.
So looks like the 4 mentioned in the original article plus Dr. Facilier.

It'll be interesting, I'm sure it'll be very popular event at $99 a person, especially with it being only one night a week will leave some exclusivity to it.

When I "attempted" to book it online, it showed a time of 5:45pm for March 12. I didn't look at many other dates. Also, it looked like it was going to let me book 3/12, which is more than 90 days out. The info on the web said bookable at 90 days. I agree that maybe it's not too bad of a deal. I don't think some younger kids would like it. DS would kill me for canceling Tusker House for this, unless Darth Daffy shows up:)

I've booked it for many reasons - and I didn't even have a trip booked.

- Huge Villains fan that went to both Unleashed...
- This show has been discussed for months when they began casting calls via professional outlets.
- Casting Calls referred to Dr. F being the "star" of the show.
- Casting Calls for professional dancers and entertainers.
- Food, not mini desserts, with beef, shrimp ....voodoo pig wings - whatever that is I want to see it.
- "specialty alcoholic drinks plus beer and wine" with beer a huge plus since most their special drinks at these things are not to my liking and I don't drink wine.
- No kid prices, alcohol, words like night terrors, frightfully, dastardly .... Dr F as the host....hoping for an edgier night not geared for young ones.
- Compare $99 for dessert and meet/greet in castle to the same price for alcohol, food and a show and maybe dancing...more value.
- Not big on booking the upcharge events when I can enjoy much of the same for free, but this will be all or nothing and worth it to me, especially since we have APs.

Fingers crossed it's a great event! and they keep tapping that huge base of Villain fans.

PS I found nights where it was 5 something towards end, 7 something in middle dates and 9 something the first night but each night only had one time on dates I looked.

I really want to be excited for this since Dr F is one of my favorite villains, and the show quality should be pretty great based on the type of recruiting they did.

But (and I know I am in the minority here) as a vegetarian who doesn't drink, it's hard to justify the food price especially since I know the vegetarian substitutions are rarely, if ever, anywhere near the quality of the regular items. DLR has several veggie options in New Orleans Square that all fit with the theme really well and taste pretty good (even if my taste buds are too white for cajun style food). Add in to that the fact that I would be paying for alcohol that others are drinking, and it essentially turns into a $20/character photo opp.

Must be sold out March 26th already. Oh well saved $200

That was fast ... but I guess it is going to be a very busy weekend at the world so likely to sell before others. If you really want I would keep checking. I know I booked the MNSSHP Dessert Party day it opened so I wouldn't lose out and then decided not to go so dropped our party.

Debating on whether or not I wanna shell out the money for my birthday dinner. SO tempting since I love Dr. Facilier.

I'm still trying to understand if it is a show with just characters dancing, or if there is a show and then participants dance.

Can anyone describe exactly where this new "Flex theater' is located?

From what I have read it looks like there is a show and a dance party along with food and drinks. I am wondering if March is open yet or completely sold out. February still had dates. Also am wondering how long it lasts. Curious to see the January party reviews. Might book of i can then wait to see what people have to say. We really do enjoy he villains!
