I was able to upgrade to Platinum, thinking I'll try it for a year and see whether it's worth it. Hope you all get what you want.
We did as well! $1075 here in So Cal

So happy for you! $1,048.89 here in (non PHL or PIT) Pennsylvania. We did as well! $1075 here in So Cal![]()
My heart skipped a beat when I saw this… then realized once I clicked the button that it was Platinum that sold out. Whew. That sold out fast.
I believe you should be guaranteed to be able to renew your current level. But I don't know for sure. It would certainly seem unfair if you weren't.My heart skipped a beat when I saw this… then realized once I clicked the button that it was Platinum that sold out. Whew.
Renewed gold since I was in there.
This! I was thinking what happened to guaranteed? Logged in to find no reason to panic. My heart skipped a beat when I saw this… then realized once I clicked the button that it was Platinum that sold out. Whew.

Yes, gold has until the 24th to renew and then spots are up for grabs to silver level followed by general public a week laterI believe you should be guaranteed to be able to renew your current level. But I don't know for sure. It would certainly seem unfair if you weren't.
I typed a lot of stuff then deleted. In the end… $1k that’s ridiculous. For what?
The corral boost is also a good perk—the reduction in standing around in the corral time does wonders for my feetFor me it was to not have to take the time off work each time I needed to register for a run. Every time I have to register I start hitting refresh 30 minutes before and sometimes my wait time is an hour before I get in to register. All in all I feel like each registration costs me a minimum of an hour or two plus stress![]()
That together with being able to get my merch quickly and still make it to the park makes it worth it for me.
We all calculate our hourly rates different and what means something to one may be a higher or lower value to another.
This 100%. We’ve ran for a couple of charities in the past. Why not sign with a charity and give the extra $1k to a group that could use it? Also, very thankful for others on this board who helped us get registered.I agree. For me it has come to symbolize the nickel-and-diming aspect that is modern Disney. It’s not enough to pay the already inflated price. To have the best experience, you have to keep paying more and more upsells. I have an AP, but to use it when I want, I pay more for the higher tier. Then when I go to the parks, Genie+ is mandatory since the standby lines move at a rate of 1 person per 10 in the LL. But not everything is covered in Genie +, so I have to buy individual lightning lanes. And now to book my Genie+ reservations 7 days in advance, I’ll have to stay in a Disney hotel.
Club RunDisney is just too blatantly greedy. There is simply no justification for the $1,000 price tag other than people will pay it. More than that, it’s an acknowledgement that the value of the product is tied to how poor their ordinary service is, since the main selling point is avoiding having to use their registration website.
I crunched the numbers and since I really focus on one weekend each season, I come out ahead! The charity I'm doing Princess with has a fundraising minimum under the platinum price and the bib cost counts towards the fundraising. I'm not big into merchandise, though I will pre-order the Corkcicle and spirit jersey this time around. This 100%. We’ve ran for a couple of charities in the past. Flip side… maybe I’m wrong but an Atlanta Track Club membership is $40 and guarantees their registrations? Vast difference
I was going to try to upgrade my RunDisney this morning (I'm silver), but no link is showing for me in my RunDisney account. I thought it was just supposed to appear or is there a special link?
Yes, thank you! It finally opened up. I was weak and upgraded to Gold. Wasn't sure if I would or not but decided it was a cheap personal trainerKeep checking! I feel like it was closer to 9am pst…
The corral upgrade is for all races, and the guaranteed registrations are for you only.I was wondering about the platinum membership corral upgrades. Is that for the 1/2 and full marathon only or could it include the 5k and 10 k ( not that you would really need it for those races)
Also when it says guarantee 2 races in event could you register yourself and a family member or does it mean 2 races for yourself during race weekend?
ThanksThe corral upgrade is for all races, and the guaranteed registrations are for you only.
I believe it did sell out this year. There aren't enough years with this process for a "usually" yet.Does platinum usually sell out during gold renewal? Hoping to snag gold during general registration, but now seeing that platinum sold out during gold, I'm worried gold will sell out during silver.
