Does platinum usually sell out during gold renewal? Hoping to snag gold during general registration, but now seeing that platinum sold out during gold, I'm worried gold will sell out during silver.

Last year, I was able to get a gold membership during general registration (had never been a CrD member before).

Edited to add that of course there is no guarantee that there will be gold or platinum levels available after all current members have had a chance to upgrade/renew.

Yesterday I learned something in an unfortunate way. I was on the fence about registering for Princess so I put it off. Finally decided to go ahead and register. I assumed (wrongly) that I had until midnight to register yesterday. Nope. The links are removed at 8:00 Eastern time. They are prompt too, because it was 8:01 when I logged in to register and they were gone.

No one to blame but myself, the time is written right there in the email they sent us. Oops.

I did the same thing for Wine and Dine so you are not alone! It never occurred to me to look carefully at the time and I made an assumption.

Yup, never waited long enough for it to matter before, I'm usually anxiously awaiting the links...
To runDisney's credit they shared the time clearly in their communication, I just didn't bother to read it.

Yes, I got in the queue this morning and was able to get in. But I'm in Club runDisney so I don't have to mess with this queue nonsense.

Unless they open up more I am pretty sure platinum sold out.

They just changed Platinum to "Sold Out", so I assume we are getting some gold and silver.

Interesting. Maybe they are going to move registration back and open it shortly after this year’s race weekend??
I think your question would apply to the Disneyland Halloween race weekend as well.

I had read someone speculating that they may change the race season to the calendar year and not the November to April race season, so maybe things are changing a bit???

That aligns with the recent change to club runDisney to also be a calendar year instead of what it was before.
