Club 33

I did previously mention Louis, I wish everyone had the experience we had with him. I can not praise him enough. You would think people would be prepped about eating there but I guess not. How is the weather in Mexico?
Cold here for this time of year.

Upper 80s and low 90s with no humidity. The rainy season will start in a couple of months. We'll be looking forward to getting back to D'land in October!!!

I never even dreamed of thinking about any of these negative scenarios. Then again the first time I went I had no clue what it was. Everyone was all excited and I was all like.. so we going to go eat dinner? I never remeber what I eat there. I just remeber get wave after wave of food taken to me with wine oh a flowing. Then buying the pins and memoribilia. At first I tried to tell people I ate at 33.... No one knew. It's like when I bought my wife a juicy couture purse.. no one knew. Awesome story tho so it's the next day and it's pin trading day and my dad gave someone a 33 pin. This other guy saw it and his face looked so distraught. Turns out he's been waiting 10 years fo ra pin so guess what... I gave him mine, a pen, and the 33 hat I was wearing. I've never seen someone go so crazy in my whole life.

the ten years may be an over statement but it was more then 4. Forget it it was 20 years and I did it with one leg shot off up hill in the snow with no shoes.

In another post I saw that if you are having dinner at Club 33 then you have access to the Lilly Belle car on the DL train. Is that accurate? Is it for members only or can guests of members ride too?

We're just a short 6-hour bus ride from Guadalajara. Just flew from there to L.A. earlier this month!

It used to be a perk for Club 33 members but now anyone can request to ride in her. She's not always out and it's best to go to the train station early in the day to see when/if she'll be out. They don't always have someone available to ride back there with you so you have to be a bit flexible on time. You do take the complete loop with her, getting on and off at Main Street Station. Depending on which CM you get, it can be a very informative ride or, in the case of someone who posted a picture, a chance for the CM to take a nap!

Go to the Main Street Train Station first thing in the morning to inquire if the Lilly Belle is running & available that day. They take a small group twice during the day. If they have spaces available, they will take your name & number of people in your party. (I believe we had 12 of us on our trip around the parks) They will give you a time to return.

They will not have the Lilly Belle out if it has rained the night before or is raining. The carpeting is the original carpeting from Walt's apartment & can not be replaced.

They also will not have it available if they have VIP's in the park. They use it to transport them around.

I remember reading they closed it and it had a 14 - 17 yr wait. Someone told me they are not going to re-open the list until it gets to 10 years, that will be a LOONGG TIME if its true

The last I heard it was still closed.

When inquired last August at the club the list was closed indefinately. Not that I could current afford to buy in but I can add that to my bucket list.

You are correct about that my friend. Never thought I would ever get a chance to eat dinner at club 33 until a kind soul made the offer. You never know what can happen when you wish upon a star.

So true! I never thought we'd have the chance either when out of the blue we were given the opportunity last January for DH birthday. We had an awesome time.

Yes it's super closed. Johnny depp while doing pirates wanted a membership he was denied. This is from a friend who does VIP tours for celeb's in disney.

Isn't that what Disney is all about? Since joining this community I have met the most amazing, friendly and generous folks.

Doing things like staying at a deluxe resort on cheaply rented DVC points, Cruising with a large group of from all over the States, and most recently, getting to have lunch at Club 33!

5 or 6 years ago these things were merely dreams...and I truly did not expect any of them to ever occur....but they have, which makes the future seem that much more promising...that much more ...POSSIBLE.

So....here's hoping that everyone dreams and that the universe, friends and strangers help those dreams become a reality.
