Club 33

HEY blackjack you get yours confirmed finally? I wanna see if we'll be going the same day.

I can not remember how far out the member can make the reservations but they said they would. Need to get in touch again. Nice to hear from you.

Jack

Yah I have a little over half a month left. For aug you can make reservations now for it all. Well I know cuz it's been made! I also got my bayou and the new tiki restaurant made also (well my sister said she did these 2). Plus I reserved a tour... thinking about 2? Doing the reserved fantasmic thingy too. The one were the person helps you navigate the park. 18 people is our normal group. Some of our dinner reservations thank god will be 11. It's amazing how 6 kids plus a nanny can add up!

Fingers crossed I will be experiencing this hidden gem sometime in mid October.

The person who made the dinner reservation for me said that golf shirts are no longer allowed for dinner.

We were just there last month and wore polo shirts with slacks and there weren't any problems much less anybody blinking an eye :)

The hostess did a clothes and shoes check on everybody as soon as each couple stepped in and mentioned that "at worse, we'd just send them over to one of the stores to pick up a shirt" versus "kicking anybody out" That night, there was a huge range in wardrobe from casual polo/collared shirts to two separate tables of teens on their way to the prom (utterly adorable!) :)

Teens on the way to prom!!! OMG...what lucky teens!

Does anyone know what the latest time we can book lunch for?

Jack

Random question, I was at the parks June 1st and there were a lot of people walking around with little black notebooks with the Club 33 logo, do you know what they were doing?

Wasn't that the scavenger hunt for Club 33? I thought it was June 1st, but I could be wrong...

I went for dinner on 5/14/11. For 3 of us, with tax and tip, it came out to close to $400. That included 4 alcoholic drinks, 2 milks (to go with the dessert), and 1 soda. No one picked the prix fixe meal ($85 + tax). The wine pairings with the prix fixe meal is $50.

Dinner menu (from 5/14/11) and prices are as follows:
Vintner (prix fixe)
First course: Duck Confit, Raspberry Rice Pudding, Roast Shallot Confit, Hydro Watercress
Second course: Spiced Rock Shrimp, Pea Shoot Tendrils, Mango Salsa
Third course: Marinated Hanger Steak, Sweet Onion Brioche Turnover, Aromatic Hollandaise
Fourth course: Regional Artisan Cheese
Fifth course: Marscapone Lemon Cheese Cake, Banana Foster's Caramel Reduction

Appetizers

Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho - $13 (or $18, can't quite make out the price on the photo)
Viking Village Day Boat Scallop - $22
Cabernet Braised Boneless Short Rib - $29**
Organic Field Greens Green Salad - $12
Atlantic Coast Crab Cake - $24**
Trio of Artisan California Caviar - $48

Entrees
Seared Rare Bigeye Ahi - $40
New York Prime Strip Loin - $44
Grilled Chinook King Salmon - $38
Pan Roasted Fillet of Chateaubriand - $47**
Farmer's Market Vegetable Strudel - $35
Alaskan Line Caught Sablefish - $39**
Chicken Breast Cussion Pot Pie - $38
Marinated Colorado Lamb Chops - $44

Cheese
Regional Cheese Tasting - $15** (there were 3 types of cheese: blue cheese, goat cheese, cow cheese, and candied walnuts)

Dessert
Unfortunately, no menu, but it was available. Each dessert was $14. There was (1) Marscapone Lemon Cheese Cake, Banana Foster's Caramel Reduction; (2) a trio of chocolate; (3) a peach or apple with blueberries pie; (4) and a few other desserts available (didn't remember). Our waiter Curt made everything sound yummy!

The ones with the ** are the items we had.

Minimum food charge is $76 per person. That wasn't hard to do for dinner. Next time I go back, I want to try the lunch with the dessert buffet!

Skip the vetniers

the shrimp tasted like salt. The duck confee was good but it was 2 bites. The bananas foster thingy was well super bananaish. The cheese plate was small and nothing to write home about. The lobster seviche was amazing. My dad said the hanger stake was amazing (I subbed the filet mignon that wasn't).

Honestly I'd just get stuff you'd like and forget the vetners at this time.
