Club 33

You don't need business contacts. You need contacts that have contacts that have contacts.

One of the times I went I was invited by a friend who knows I am a die-hard Disney fan. She (along with 3 guests) was invited by her boss who was invited by a client.

You never know who the people you know, know. Just talk about it with everyone you know - literally.

- Dreams (who has been working on putting the "vibe" out there again to everyone she knows to land an invite for her upcoming birthday :goodvibes )

You do not need business contacts. If you are a working RN whether in a practice or hospital there are physicians, vendors, drug reps and soforth. You just need to ask. I asked for years and all of a sudden I get an invite, you just never know. Good luck.

Exactly. :wizard:

Maybe the topic Club 33 on a disney board is the same as "hey fella's look at my picture" on other boards.

I have a question- going back to the basics, regarding prices. Can anyone be a little more specific?

I am going to 33 for dinner and I want to know how much cash to bring. So I know it will be at least $76. I assume this is without tip. Is there added gratuity for a large party (6 people). Is it a flat rate? Or is each entree a different amount?

Basically, how much is my dinner going to cost?

Thank you :flower3:

Well, dinner is a little different than lunch. Lunch is $76 for buffet and entree. Drinks (alcohol and non), tax, and tip are not included in that amount.

Dinner is more traditional restaurant pricing, with apps, salads, entrees, and desserts all priced individually. However, the entrees range from $35-$45 (iirc), so if you get an app and entree and dessert and drink you are looking at $75-$100 pp before tax and tip. You will be charged at least $76. With tax and tip you are looking at least $100. You could easily spend more than that, however, if your table opens a nice bottle of wine or if you have more than one drink.

I am not sure about adding the tip automatically. Perhaps someone here can explain. I have not dined with a large party at Club 33.

Also, I spent some more at the curio cabinet for souvenirs.

Tips are added to groups of 11 or more and that size of a group requires a contract as well.

There is also the Vintners menu which is around $85 for five courses. The wine pairings are about $40, all plus tax & tip. It seems to me that things are priced just so, that you need to order four courses to bring the bill to the minimum. Alcohol does not count. Count on at least $100 for dinner and $150 with drinks. I would have an extra $50 on hand just in case.

It's not cheap to eat there, but oh so nice!

I will be dinning there a week from tomorrow and I can't wait!!!! The person who made the dinner reservation for me said that golf shirts are no longer allowed for dinner. She told me I would need to wear a button down oxford type shirt. She also said, while not required, that she would recommend a sport coat.

Any thoughts on this?

TIA

I have not heard that golf shirts were no longer allowed but if she is the one who made the reservation for you and suggested a coat, I would go with the coat in respect of the member. Will everyone there have one? Probably not but she is suggesting it, so I would do it.

Excellent point on wearing the sport coat out of respect for the person who made the reservation for me.

I budget 150 per person every time I go. Easy way to put you and the member at ease... have him get the dress code instructions. Then just have him give them to you. That way there is no issue. The thing I don't like about people going crazy on the dress code is if you are going to experience the park.. you may not want to get on pirates with a blazer. Disney does recognize this... Then again you can always get a locker and just throw a blazer in it until it's time to go eat.

I know this is a long shot but Id love to go to Club 33- anyone willing to trade or ill pay to let me, my boyfriend, best friend and her boyfriend get in? I know many of you are rolling your eyes but its worth a try.

Members of Club 33 cannot accept any compensation at all in exchange for reservations. Just so you know. It has to be a gift, and that is why members usually only make reservations for people they know personally. ;)

When you pick up your passes at Guest Relations they will give you a card with the dress requirements and other rules of decorum. I highly doubt that a blazer will ever be required and it may just be the request of your friend that you wear a button front shirt, but I would honor the request, it may mean the difference between being invited back or not. While club members may not take compensation for reservations, no one would scoff at a gift, food, wine, Disney collectibles...it never hurts to reward a favor.

thanks anyways, it was a long shot and i understand. its just be a life long goal of my bff and i.

I went for dinner on 5/14/11. For 3 of us, with tax and tip, it came out to close to $400. That included 4 alcoholic drinks, 2 milks (to go with the dessert), and 1 soda. No one picked the prix fixe meal ($85 + tax). The wine pairings with the prix fixe meal is $50.

Dinner menu (from 5/14/11) and prices are as follows:
Vintner (prix fixe)
First course: Duck Confit, Raspberry Rice Pudding, Roast Shallot Confit, Hydro Watercress
Second course: Spiced Rock Shrimp, Pea Shoot Tendrils, Mango Salsa
Third course: Marinated Hanger Steak, Sweet Onion Brioche Turnover, Aromatic Hollandaise
Fourth course: Regional Artisan Cheese
Fifth course: Marscapone Lemon Cheese Cake, Banana Foster's Caramel Reduction

Appetizers

Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho - $13 (or $18, can't quite make out the price on the photo)
Viking Village Day Boat Scallop - $22
Cabernet Braised Boneless Short Rib - $29**
Organic Field Greens Green Salad - $12
Atlantic Coast Crab Cake - $24**
Trio of Artisan California Caviar - $48

Entrees
Seared Rare Bigeye Ahi - $40
New York Prime Strip Loin - $44
Grilled Chinook King Salmon - $38
Pan Roasted Fillet of Chateaubriand - $47**
Farmer's Market Vegetable Strudel - $35
Alaskan Line Caught Sablefish - $39**
Chicken Breast Cussion Pot Pie - $38
Marinated Colorado Lamb Chops - $44

Cheese
Regional Cheese Tasting - $15** (there were 3 types of cheese: blue cheese, goat cheese, cow cheese, and candied walnuts)

Dessert
Unfortunately, no menu, but it was available. Each dessert was $14. There was (1) Marscapone Lemon Cheese Cake, Banana Foster's Caramel Reduction; (2) a trio of chocolate; (3) a peach or apple with blueberries pie; (4) and a few other desserts available (didn't remember). Our waiter Curt made everything sound yummy!

The ones with the ** are the items we had.

Minimum food charge is $76 per person. That wasn't hard to do for dinner. Next time I go back, I want to try the lunch with the dessert buffet!
