Club 33~~Woo-HOO!!~~and some questions

I've been to Club 33 once. It was 2 weeks ago thank to one of my husband's colleges. We had dinner and enjoyed watching Fantasmic from our table. The food was fantastic!

If you decide to bring your kids just be courteous and don't let your kids yell or run around the dining room. We had a table of 12 near us that felt the need to talk loudly and let there kids yell and talk about poop and ****ies.

We were told that you have to have a ticket to get into the park in order to dine at Club 33. That just because you are eating there and have to spend the price of a one day ticket doesn't mean you don't have to purchase a ticket.

It can't hurt to ask your contact about having that many people. The worst that he/she can say is that it just isn't possible.

Have fun! Oh, and make sure to look around and take pictures if you like. We did!

This is not totally correct. You do need a ticket to enter the park(s), however the member will give Club 33 a list of names and Guest Services will have a complimentary park hopper ticket available for each person dining at the club that day.

We ate there for lunch in early August after the ticket price increase. We were charged $79 per adult, $59 for our 7 year old and $10 for our 2 year old. Tax and gratuity were not included. Neither were drinks.

We were the guest of a member. He went to Guest Relations in the Esplanade and picked up our Club 33 Park Hopper tickets. (We had multi-day passes that we didn't use that day). We didn't actually "pay" for the tickets at Guest Relations. Rather, when the bill came after lunch, the cost of the meal included the cost of park admission. When you think about it that way, it wasn't obscenely expensive. Only ridiculously expensive.

I disagree with those who suggest dinner will be better than lunch. It was remarkably uncrowded at lunch and as a result, there was no crowding in the dining room. We didn't feel rushed at all. I haven't eaten dinner there so I can't authoritatively speak to whether the experience is better. But after having eaten lunch there, I struggle to imagine that it could be any better.

Eating at Club 33 was like dining at the White House. We were so excited to go inside, so excited to see the place. Lunch or dinner wouldn't have made any difference to us. It's Club 33!

I also disagree that you shouldn't take your kids. If this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, your kids might enjoy it as well. Of course, only you know your kids and whether they'll "get" the experience and/or whether they'll be well-behaved. Our 7 year old was blown away by it. She fully appreciated how special it was and drank in the experience. Our 2 year old was fairly clueless until the characters showed up.

That's right, if you eat lunch there on a Sunday, the characters show up. We had Mickey and Pluto. And because our kids were the only two children in the place, Mickey and Pluto spent most of their time with them. It was unlike any other character experience we've ever had. My 2 year old still talks about how Pluto got her toes. So although she might not appreciate where she ate, she knows who she ate with.

Finally, plan to bring extra money with you on this trip. Club 33 has a souvenir display with several really cool items for sale. We came home with quite a lot of Club 33 branded merchandise.

I hope that helps with your questions.

I disagree about not bringing the kids, as long as your kids can maintain control appropriate to their ages, or you can remove them from the situation then take them. I know that I would absolutely take mine if we had the chance to dine at Club 33!

Wow! That's just another thing to the list of bad experiences with their guest services. It's so nice that no one told us.

We have been to Club 33 for dinner and the food was amazing - it's also the only place in the Disneyland park that you can purchase alcohol - we had some great Mai Tais! We were guests of a member so we picked up our park hopper tickets at guest relations - we went early, spent the day in the parks then went back to the hotel to change for dinner. I don't think a group of 10 is considered a banquet - there was a large group of at least 10 at a table near us the night we were dining. I would bring the kids, it's a once in a lifetime thing for most of us - we saw a few different groups with kids, all were well behaved - pretty sure we saw chicken fingers, burgers and fries walk by a few times so they definetly have a kids menu! We dressed up because we were celebrating my birthday, others were in shorts, polo shirts and sneakers, some were in suits with ties - whatever you wear you won't feel out of place. Definetly take a ride up in the lift, a very cool old fashioned elevator, you'll have to split your group up because only a few fit in at time, but it's worth it. We did see a stroller parked on the first level where the hostess checks you in while we were there so i'm not sure if they let you take them up to the dining room on the second floor - didn't see any up there. We got some great pictures throughout the restaurant - staff were always willing to take a picture for us, everyone was taking pictures so go for it. Make sure to have the ladies in the party check out the restroom - I know it sounds odd but it's a must see, won't tell you why. Definetly bring some extra money for souvenirs we got some really great black mickey ears with the Club 33 logo embroidered on them in gold - I think they were around $18 when we were there. The manager also came around asking how the meal was, we talked to him for a while told him we were celebrating my birthday - he pulled out a note pad of little certificates, it said "No Strings Attached" and had a little picture of Pinoccio on it - they can give out little "favors" to guests. He made ours into a Fast Pass for Indian Jones - not a big deal but it was still very nice! That was a birthday I will never forget - I think of it every time I look at those micky ears! Enjoy every minute of it!
