Clowning Around on the Boardwalk! A Wigdout Trip report

Making sure right now that we aren't missing f&w going so late.....

You aren't -- it runs through November 14th.

You should have heard me whispering in Charles' ear tonight...it went something like this..."Dragonberry Coladas, Cheddar Cheese soup, Lobster rolls!"

Whew, it lasts until November 14th! We are safe with our dates... So what sort of dates would you be looking at and will the children be coming with?

Sometime in October -- not sure about the kids -- it would serve them right if we left them at home. They did choose Hilton Head after all.

We are taking Baylor but plan on parking him at the Sandcastle Club on an evening or two...
He didn't mind it last summer. Hope he won't be too put out by it this time.

That also means MNSSHP and I don't mind that a bit!:thumbsup2

I haven't been able to is for the past week or so I am heading back to catch up.

I'm so happy they enjoyed the experience! Now tell me what did you think of those snacks?

The snow pea crisps were good, as well as the peach gummies. The ocean's seaweed is safe with me, however. It can stay in the ocean. I spit it out, as did about five of my students. Some liked it, and some were just so-so about it. They had such fun tasting everything, and we sent some to the principals, also. They like to be in on things like this, and the kids that got to take it to them were just tickled, of course.

Like I said, I'm a shopper!

Yes, you certainly are!

I will definitely PM you my list when I get it together! You're the best!

By the way, it is KILLING me today not to have a Disney trip planned.
I was trying to convince Charles to return to our original plans, but he wasn't cooperating.

What are your October dates? Do you have October dates yet?

It is killing us that you don't have a Disney trip planned, too! I hope thoughts of an October trip can keep you going. :goodvibes

HHI does sound heavenly, but...

Oh, I have personal days. I want to go to Food and Wine -- more so when I found out today that it is the 15th anniversary of it and guess which anniversary it is for us...yep, our 15th. ;)

It's a done deal, then! ::yes:: You must do that! :)

Y'all have me dreaming of F&W this morning. 15th anniversary definitely seems fated, CP! For what it's worth, Oct 14-23 are pretty good dates too. ;)

I missed the souvies. :scared1: I have to go back and check it out.

This is insanity I tell ya!

I missed the contest, missed the Vero news and...you were sneaky my dears on the baby unveiling! ;)

I am so glad you do not need surgery! :worship:

I am doing my first contest today...so make sure ya come over!

I really hope the Vero points come through soon and I loved your purse!

Now my mission is to stay on top of your report and mine!!:lmao:

We may decide to take the kids if we go, but I would rather leave them at home. ;) I would like to do MNSSHP again, and I think the only way Charles would agree to that is if the kids are with us.

It's a done deal, then! ::yes:: You must do that! :)

We got the third Kingdom Keepers from Amazon yesterday (the series about the kids fighting evil at Disney World), and Connor made off with it. Then, Chelsea will read it after him. I am hoping it makes them want to go to Disney. I still haven't canceled the July trip yet...

If that doesn't work, I really am hoping for an October trip -- I was pointing out to Charles that it would only cost us $300 to stay at Pop Century for a long weekend.

Did you see this site, yet, Christine?

Nothing except a new logo, but it made me excited.

I can't wait to read this one! Right now I'm reading the new Stephen King. That book is HUGE!! It will probably be November before I finish reading it!

Book enabling alert!!!

Have you seen the book "Down the Rabbit Hole: An Echo Falls Mystery" by Peter Abrahams? It's a really good book. I gave it to Alison to read after I finished and she's really enjoying it. Looking on Amazon it looks like there are two more in the series. Need to put those on the list!

I have read Down the Rabbit Hole -- it's a very cute mystery, and I believe there are others in the series.

I didn't even know Stephen King had a new book out! It's been years since I read anything by him.

His new book is called "Under the Dome". It's pretty good so far. I just haven't had the time to sit down and really get in to it.

 I think it would be killing me too if I did not have a Disney trip planned. I hope you can make an October trip work for you. I still want to try F&W some year. We always go on April or May but would LOVE to go in October. We need to put siding on our house though (always something) so no F&W this year for us:sad2: But we are happy to be celebrating our 25th anniv. there in about 24 days. I will keep hoping that your Oct. trip will happen for you Jackie.

Glad to hear Keeley is doing too bad! I hope for another girl for Harper to play with!

Since the new bag is less than the one I have, I should be able to sweet talk DH, actually he really does not care... Speaking of bags - I just bought my soon to be 10 yo dd her first VB - not counting the ones she stole from me!:rotfl: Her name is Gabriella and we were on the website and she noticed the "Gabby" bag in Pink Pinwheels and freaked out - she HAD TO HAVE IT! It was a toss up between that or Pink Cupcakes but pinwheels won out. I got it for her birthday so she does not know yet! What trouble I am going to have with her! She also asked asked for the Frill backpack, notebook, pencil holder, etc, etc,... for back to school - I need to know what money tree I am shaking for all of that!:rotfl2:

I was planning on going to Beaches and Cream - hopefully someone will get a kitchen sink (hope it's not me:scared1:) while I am there - and certainly shopping will be in order!! I just have to fit that into my itineray now - good luck with that!

Joining in! Sorry to hear you about you arm. On the bright side surgery isn't needed.:thumbsup2
I love all of your souvies. I could just live inside WOD.
Hmm, F & W does sound nice. We could get a 3 day ticket with water park and NE. DD's birthday is November 15th so going the last weekend would be perfect. We could go to MVMCP too.:)

I think the tasting part is fun too! I wasn't sure about the seaweed though, I'm not crazy about sushi and I think it's wrapped in seaweed....
I gave my principal some of my new favorite snack, wasabi peas. Let's just say she ran to the lounge and spit it out....
I don't think she liked it.:rolleyes1

Shopping!
:thumbsup2

Another yes from me on the October trip Jackie!

I think the 15th anniversary is quite the omen!

I so hope Charles and Jackie get their f&w trip!
I have to spill the beans since Shocker hasn't fessed up. Some of the souvie pics are missing!

I got over to your report to late to get a decent guess in....
Next contest I hope to get there earlier!
I think we have another couple of weeks to wait on Disney to decide on Vero...
Then I'm looking for HHI.....
Don't tell Shocker.

:rolleyes1

Before we purchased the flights I tried to make the f&w trip sound very unattractive to Baylor, you know the boy who wouldn't go on Spring Break with us....
Needless to say, he still wants to go...

Now the question will be, just where will you end up going this summer?

I have read Down the Rabbit Hole -- it's a very cute mystery, and I believe there are others in the series.

I didn't even know Stephen King had a new book out! It's been years since I read anything by him.
I'm sure I'll be looking for something to take on the cruise...

Not sure if Shocker has this or not.

I think another little girl would be great, but we'll take a boy too, healthy is what we really want!
I just got the mini hipster today in pinwheel pink, I'm anxious to try it out for just a grab and go bag for a quick outing to World Showcase!
I think she will love the frill line for back to school, what pattern does she want?

Congrats on the new grandbaby! How exciting!!
Thanks, November is going to be an exciting month for us!

I think it would be perfect if you could make it to the Christmas party too! We need to check the dates and see if we are going to be too late again this year when we go for our Christmas trip. We missed it by one day last year...

I wish we could pull off another F&W trip, but teaching in the same school... I just don't think we'd convince our principal to give us the time off. He doesn't "get" Disney. :confused3
