My husband and I will be taking our Disney vacation from 10/23 - 11/4/2010.

We've only been to WDW when it's hot in the summer months...

Was wondering if shorts/capris/tanks/t-shirts will still be ok? Will jeans be too hot? Should we plan to pack a light jacket in case evenings are cooler then?

We're hoping the weather will be more pleasant on this trip!

Just depends on what weather you get. We go in Dec. and I usually don't pack until 2 days before we go, so I check the weather forecast and pack accordingly. Usually pack a couple pairs of jeans, capris and shorts just in case. I Dec. I usually end up with the jeans, but have even worn the shorts!

I was at WDW at the beginning of November a few years ago. During the day I was in shorts and tank tops but at night I was in sweatshirts and jeans. We used a locker to store the extra clothes and just changed at night. To me, the small inconvenience was better than being cold.

We went last year over those dates and it was HOT! We wore shorts/tank tops the entire time. Evenings were a bit cooler and the kids did wear hoodies then. The weather was gorgeous and we are so sad that we aren't going this year!! Have fun!

I will be there the same time as you and I am planning on T-shirts and shorts with everyone having at least one hoodie. I was there 3 years ago at the same time and that was all that was needed and the hoodie was usually in the sit down restaurants.

We're going to be there for the exact same dates as you, and have gone at around this same time every year since 2003. We've found it to be pretty varied as far as the weather goes. Some years we've worn jeans/long pants more often than shorts; however last year was especially hot. Even at night we found ourselves needing shorts more often than jeans. Didn't need our light-weight jackets once during the 12 days.

Our general rule of thumb is to pack for the heat with some cooler-weather clothes thrown in (a windbreaker and sweatshirt each along with a couple of pairs of pants or semi-heavy weight exercise type pants). We check the weather forecast carefully the week before we leave and adjust accordingly. Last year we definitely could have saved room with the heavier clothing as it just sat in the room the whole time!:)

We'll be there the same time as well , 10/24-10/30, and we are starting the trip with a weekend in Connecticut for a wedding. So we will need both fall in New England clothing and then WDW warm weather clothes!

I plan for everyone in layers. I tend to be cold no matter what, so I always have a thin fleece with me. And like others have said, I'll wait until a few days before and check the weather forecast before packing.

Wow, what are the odds we would be there the SAME time! Thanks for the info. We will definitely check the forecasts before we leave.

I am so looking forward to even a little bit cooler weather than what I am used to. Growing up in NC, we always went to Disney World during the summer months (only time my dad had off from work). First time I went to Disneyland was with my husband...we went on July 4th, and I was in utter shock at the weather difference. I kept telling my husband, "Wow, I can't believe how much nicer the weather is! I'm hardly sweating! This is great!!" And then when people whipped out there jackets in the evening, I thought they were nuts, but as it got chilly, I was wishing I had one! :lmao:

We always look forward to the cooler days and evenings when we get to pull out the jeans and light jackets! It was a shock last year it was still so hot and stayed hot the entire time. I grew up on the NC coast, so I do know heat and 99% humidity very well, but I don't know how people who go in the summer do it!:confused3

I am also going to be there pretty much the same exact time Oct 18-27 for my Disneymoon staying at CBR! I always go during October, and usually what I wear are these really comfy, light weight capri sweats from Old Navy, and a t-shirt. At the same time I will bring a light jacket, because night time can get chilly. I just wrap my jacket around my waist, and its there for when I get cold.

I say it will still be hot..avg highs still in middle to high 80's..lows in the 70's..so it will be t shirts and shorts for us too this year. Was hoping it would be cooler..we are going Oct 7 thru 17..were there 2 yrs ago same time and roasted.

We are also there the exact same dates as you this year...10/23 - 11/4. Last year we went one week later and we still needed shorts most of the time. I will say that it's not too hot but just right. I actually remember being at the MVMCP in shorts and getting wet on Splash Mountain and still being OK (not too cold) wet.

We are going 10/22-10/28 (staying at CBR - hi aenelson!) and I figure we will wait until just before and check the weather before we decide how to pack.

Hi MickeyBoat, looks like we might be neighbors! Do you have a favorite building at CBR? I love Aruba!

We will be at CBR from Oct 23-31! If you see three very blond children (one of which is an eleven year old boy who will not cut his hair so therefore it's as long as his mothers) You'll know it's us.
