Clothes on pets

Question for people who put clothes on cats. How do you do it without blood being spilt (yours not the cats)

My moms cat (the 16 year old) dosnet mind being dressed. She gets mad when shes cold and we dont put her sweater on. As far as my cats, they have no front claws and there back claws are trimmed regularly (and short) which helps. Mine arnt so into the clothes, but they do wear them (mostly at halloween). this year the one of my cats is going to be Toto.

I don't dress up my beagle, but my DDs love to put clothes on her. She's pretty spoiled and likes lots of attention, so she doesn't seem to mind at all. They're very gentle with her.

But as a lot of people on this thread have stated, they often have to clothe their dogs because of cold weather. If you're going to dress your four-legged child, might as well be in something cute.
