At the risk of getting ridiculed again...sigh...I'm asking another question. Do you put clothes on your pets? My dog is pretty big and I haven't been able to find anything cute that will fit him, but he doesn't like clothes anyway. But I do get pretty scarves to put on him for walks, so he will look good, I'm able to find colors that complement his fur.
I do find cute little clothes for cats and they make tiaras for cats too, but I don't do the tiara thing, they just have cute little shirts and coats.
Im kinda done with pets but it would be fun to get a fluffy little white dog because they look good in everything.
I have seen stroller/carriers for dogs but to me that's going too far.

I'm sorry, but I keep reading your threads and can't help but wonder if you post this stuff just to stir the pot....?

"I'm kinda done with pets but it would be fun to get a fluffy little white dog"....are you kidding me? Really?

You post enough 'stuff' here to know that there are some serious dog lovers here....dogs aren't just fun little things to dress up and show off to people! :sad2:

I'm starting to think your 12 and spring break is going to be over soon.

But in case I'm wrong..... Do I dress my dog? Sure, she has bows and bandanas. She's 130 lbs so it's safe to assume she isn't wearing shirts or being pushed in strollers. Would I take to the extreme if I could find something for her? No. I'd like to think she has some dignity.

And I'll be the first one to say it. Dogs AND cats are not accessories. For the love of God don't go get one just because it matches your outfit, or you think white matches everything and it would be easy for you to buy it clothes. Get a job, ( another one ) get a hobby, get some counseling, but please don't get a dog.

No, I would never dress up our dog or cat. Personally I just think it's silly and a waste of money and time. But to each their own. :)

Do I put clothes on my pet? No, I would like to keep my eyeballs.

I feel bad enough that we have "domesticated" these animals for our own enjoyment, never mind trying to treat them like human beings. I knew when I got my cats that I was getting a pet, NOT a child. I have no desire to dress them up, or take them anywhere, or feed them "people food" or allow them to rule my house :upsidedow

If you want to dress your animals up, great. But it's not for me - they come pre-clothed with their own beautiful fur, and I'm happy for them to show it off 365 days a year.

Here here! :thumbsup2

Um. No. They are animals, not people. Dressing pets is ridiculous. I think it hides some deep seeded issues with the owner.

That made me lol. :rotfl:

::yes:: Agree 100%

OP, are you serious?

Do I dress up my dogs? Yes but only when I know we are going some where with her and only b/c she LOVES the clothes. She will get them out and want me to put them on her.

I don't do it all the time only when she wants to. My otehr 2 dogs nope hate them so no I don't dress them up.

My 80lb dog has a nice red fleece coat for the winter, but that's because he has a very short coat. Maybe a bandanna once in a while, mostly he just goes around au naturel, I believe he's got a little bit of exhibitionist in him.;)

I have always been of the opinion that if your dog wants to wear a silly hat they will ask for a silly hat.

All 3 of my dogs have pink bandanas they wear when we do the breast cancer dog walk every year.

My son's beagle is the only dog I have ever owned that asked for clothes. Without her boots and coat she will not go outside in the snow... The other two fly out the door but she will sit patiently and wait for her boots before stepping in that yucky white stuff even for just a minute. Thus she is the first of all dogs I have ever owned that has a wardrobe.

We have a few jackets for our MinPin but just for winter because she is short haired and it gets cold and snowy in Syracuse.

My dogs do not wear clothing. They already have fur coats and are very rarely cold and they have no modesty at all - so no clothes for them!

When I buy them collars, I try to get ones that compliment their coats.

Yes I was serious , and no I do not think pets are accessories. But they do look adorable dressed up!
On Halloween I get them Halloween costumes and on Christmas they have little Santa hats and reindeer antlers.
They also have matching collars for different seasons.

By the way this thread is about CLOTHES ON PETS. Not about me. I took a "fun" quiz online and i do not need the same comments here. If you would like to tell me you think I have a mental age of 15 then you can rest assured that you don't have to bother because a stupid "just for fun" quiz did it for me. So you can stop!

My 80 lb. dog is wearing my t shirt right now, but that's because he just had surgery 6 days ago and that's to keep him from licking or scratching the incision.

Otherwise, no way! He would hate it.

My dogs are hairless and have to wear clothes in the winter out of necessity but as you can see below, it's considered a ridiculous requirement (she is sulking from having to wear a shirt).

They each have one shirt and one coat and only wear the items when it's cold enough to justify it for our walks.

That is the cutest thing ever. I love it. My pets don't have cute girly names except for one (DS named the others so no cute names)
