Cloth diapering at WDW?

I can see how you would be eeked out - poop is not sanitary you are correct!
I washed my clothes once that still had chunks of puke left from my roommates puke fest on her sheets in the washer... that was nasty.

And on that note, I have officially hit the unsubscribe button for this one.

I've never heard of no un-potty trained kids in the pool - that would be fun to explain to a 20 month old why he can't go in the water!
Some pools require a swim diaper plus plastic pants with elastic at the top and around the legs - which in cloth swim diaper would be terry/mesh and the PUL on the outside.

That's why some cruise ships provide a small area for non potty trained kids to swim. Non trained children are not allowed in the main pools at all. Of course a few times the week we cruised some parents felt like they were entitled to break that rule and after an accident happened they had to completely close the pool in order to drain and clean it. That was not fun to explain to my potty trained kids who could not swim at all.

If you Cd, what do you do in the parks? Do you use disposables or do you use cloth? We are going in 3 weeks and we are not sure. We are thinking of using disposables but I hate them. I cringe putting them on the girls now.
We are staying at AKV. I know we can do laundry but we are in a studio. Anyone know where the laundry is? How annoying is it to do there?

I cd'ed my son almost exclusively, however, if we had gone on a Disney vacation - or any trip lasting more than a couple of days - I would use disposible diapers.

I view disposible diapers kinda like paper plates. They aren't something I would want to use every day, but they certainly come in handy on occasion.

Just wanted to add something about where the germs are in washing machines.


Heard a program a few yrs. ago from some scientist of some sort, studying germs - the germs are behind the main drum part (you know inside those holes). They get embedded with the caked on stuff/reside left behind. He said that e-coli was found in a majority of those washers studied. His study was looking at home washing machines only, so you can imagine what mix is in a public machine.

The way to combat this, he said, was to wash undies separately and with bleach. Otherwise, do an empty bleach wash after underwear.

Ever since that show, I have changed my habits. Regardless of what we say....others will still wash their kids poopy diapers in public washers as well as lord knows what else. Be forewarned. Will someone get sick because of someone else's germs left behind? I don't know, but I for one am choosing to use some good ole bleach.
