Closing Time!

Call MS and mention this to them…sometimes, if they know a guest as an upcoming trip in less than 60 days, they can sometimes contact the bsck office that loads them to see if they have the info fr MA and can speed it up.
Ok reporting back…I did this and member administration got big pissy mad lol.

Member services kindly proactively offered to check with MA before I committed to buying OTU points (hadn’t even thought of that).

Long long hold time for me and the MS cast member. MA told MS that Disney had not received the paperwork they needed and that I should call my sales agent.

Sigh. So I call the title company and my finance company explaining what I’d been told, they contact Disney (on a Friday bless them).

Title company emails me back with the MA email threaded…long story short nothing is missing, miscommunication. MS probably misinterpreted what MA was saying when they stated that Disney hadn’t received what they need yet. But lemme tell ya. MA does NOT appreciate being contacted. They asked that I be told not to contact them for updates and just wait.

Everyone’s gotta do what they gotta do (and I stand by everything I did here) but I just wanted to share so anyone in my shoes has expectations in line with reality. MA is not down for chatting or giving updates lol even when they’re speaking directly with a title company rep who’s been told that Disney MA said paperwork is missing 😜

Sorry that it didn't get your points faster and sounds like maybe MA is taking a harder line....fingers crossed things speed up soon!
 
Thankssss, fingers crossed! I’m going to buy OTU points and just book what I can get before availability gets even worse. My points will probably arrive 12 hours later lol. First world problems it’ll be ok.

They do not speak to people nor do they commonly respond to emails, even when there is a problem. TBH people calling them just to check on things makes it harder to get help from them when there is actually a problem, and problems do happen. Since people call all the time they just get blown off when there is a legitimate concern. I was only finally able to get help when I was so frustrated that I was actively sobbing on the phone.

That’s why I was so surprised that MS was so eager to check in with them in my case! I really appreciated it because she was trying to save me the bad experience of spending money when my points could be just right around the corner. But yeah I wouldn’t recommend actively seeking out updates from MA. They aren’t client-facing for a reason haha. Whatever keeps them churning out transfers so quickly, more power to them.
