Curious.. while we are waiting on Disney to send the emails, besides the protection that some brokers give for missing points. What is really stopping the seller from using, banking these points we bought?

I received an email from Member Administration today apologizing for the delay.
They said due to the volume being worked on that the turnaround time right now is 3-5 weeks from the day the receive the deed.

Be glad you're not buying Wyndham resale. They've been taking 12-15 weeks to process ownership changes after receiving all the paperwork.

wow that is crazy, I guess if you are buying a fixed week its not as big of a deal. But when you have points expiring or needing to be banked the long time line really has an impact.

At least I had VGC points to hold my reservation for marathon weekend and can switch out once my BLT points get here. I feel for all those people who can't do something like that - availability for my days would have be GONE. Waiting is rough!

So an upside to all this waiting and obsessing over my 1st contract at CCV closing and points getting loaded I’m already on day 13 of ROFR for my other contract didn’t even realize it had been that long.

I got the email with my Activation Code!!! Apparently, now I need to wait for the email that contains the Club ID, but I'm hoping that won't be much longer!

This is totally my fault everyone. I thought my never ending contract was near the finish line. Clearly once my contract was recorded the wheels had to come off.

I'm definitely exceeding 100 days. I hope my next one is a lot faster, I wasn't anticipating those points to become as distressed as they might.

You’re not alone - it took the seller almost a month to return their docs on my latest contract. I finally got word today that we closed - Day 51.

Never even crossed my mind that there could be a chance I wouldn’t have points loaded by end of July for an summer ‘25 reservation when this all kicked off in mid April but here we are…

Someone in the DVC fan FB page posted that she called DVC and they told her 2-3 months for resale to show up. I hope there was a miscommunication and that’s not going to be the new normal.

If you inquire w/ MS via chat, that's their canned response. But with all my previous contracts, points were loaded within 10 days of deed being recorded.

I don’t really think so, the ROFR thread hasn’t been that busy in the last 6-8 weeks. Felt a lot busier in the first quarter. There was a run on poly but a lot of it was ROFR’d.

Maybe it’s just ROFR in general that gets priority from the same department.

I also had a 5/23/24 Deed Recorded date, and I got both my Activation Code and Club ID emails last night, Exactly 3 weeks from the recorded date. No points yet, but at least I'm "official." WOO-HOO
