Closing time/fireworks question

is the closing time of the park the time the fireworks start or end?? For example, DHS is closing at 8:30, so do the fireworks start at 8:30 or end at 8:30? Same for MK at 10pm. I feel like I should know this but can't remember.

Park closing is the time they stop letting guests in.

The time listed for the night time show is when the show begins.

They aren't necessarily the same time.
